Free Aadhaar Update: In a move to support people with updating their Aadhaar documents, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) in March had announced free updates in Aadhaar online. However, the free service was available only for three months starting March 15. The deadline to update the Aadhaar card without any fees will end on Wednesday, June 14. Physical Aadhaar centres charge a fee of Rs 50 for document updates. You can update your Aadhaar documents on the myAadhaar portal. Starting tomorrow, June 15, 2023, updating the Aadhaar card on the myAadhaar portal will also be chargeable. The UIDAI has been urging citizens to upload Proof of Identification and Proof of Address (PoI/PoA) documents to revalidate their demographic information, particularly if Aadhaar was issued more than 10 years ago and was never updated.
