तिथि (Tithi) के नाम से सबसे पहला ध्यान तारीख की ओर जाता है, लेकिन हिंदू ज्योतिष शास्त्र में तिथि का बहुत विस्तृत उल्लेख किया गया है। तिथि का हमारे मस्तिष्क पर गहरा प्रभाव पड़ता है। इससे हमारे जन्म, मृत्यु और विशेष कार्य जुड़े होते हैं। तिथियों का मनुष्य के जीवन पर प्रभाव समझने से पहले आइए जानें तिथि और उनके बारे में क्या कहता है हमारा ज्योतिष शास्त्र। ज्योतिष शास्त्र में चंद्रमा की एक कला को तिथि (Tithi) कहते हैं। इनकी गणना शुक्लपक्ष की प्रतिपदा (पहली तिथि) से होकर अमावस्या (30वीं तिथि) तक होती है। अमावस्या के बाद की प्रतिपदा से लेकर पूर्णिमा तक तिथियां शुक्लपक्ष की होती है। पूर्णिमा के बाद प्रतिपदा से शुरू होकर अमावस्या तक की तिथियां कृष्णपक्ष की होती हैं। यानी कि एक माह में दो पक्ष आते हैं शुक्लपक्ष और कृष्णपक्ष। पूर्णिमा और अमावस्या को छोड़कर बाकी तिथियों के नाम एक जैसे होते हैं। हर एक तिथि का एक नाम है, एक ग्रह और मुहूर्त में इसका विशेष स्थान है। मुहूर्त में इसके स्थान को जानने के लिए सबसे पहले ये जानना जरूरी है कि नक्षत्र और तिथि दोनों अलग-अलग हैं। चूंकि दोनों ही एक दूसरे से जुड़े हुए हैं तो हमें दोनों को जानने की आवश्यकता है। तिथि जल तत्व है और यह हमारे मस्तिष्क-मन की स्थिति दिखाती है। नक्षत्र वायु तत्व है और यह हमारे मन द्वारा किए गए या किए जाने वाले अनुभवों के बारे में बताता है। तिथि हमारे भविष्य के सफल-असफल कार्यों की ओर इशारा करता है। इसके माध्यम से हमें इस बात का पता चलता है कि हमारे द्वारा किसी कार्य की पूर्ति होगी या नहीं। मनुष्य की जन्म कुंडली में तिथि, जल ओर शुक्र से प्रभावित रहती है। यह हमारी रुचि के बारे में बताती है। जन्म कुंडली में तिथि अति आवश्यक हिस्सा...
