NEW DELHI: From this academic year, it will be mandatory for all students to open an Academic Bank of Credit (ABC) account at abc.gov.in to get admission in universities across the country. Taking stock of implementation of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 at a meeting on Tuesday, the University Grants Commission (UGC) chairman M Jagadesh Kumar urged vice chancellors of central universities to ensure 100 percent registration on the ABC platform from the upcoming academic year. As per some of the university heads, the students are unable to register due to Aadhar not being linked to mobile phones.
