Odia film star Pintu Nanda has passed away. The actor, who was 45 years old, died in a private hospital in Hyderabad following an acute liver failure. According to Times of Pintu was previously in a private hospital in Bhubaneswar and was shifted to the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS) in New Delhi, for a liver transplant. However, he has shifted to Hyderabad due to the unavailability of donors in Delhi. Following the news of his death, several Odia stars took to social media and offered their condolences. Popular Odia actor Pintu Nanda’s demise has left the Odia film industry in shock. The actor, best known as ‘Mr. Romeo’, passed away at a private hospital in Hyderabad. He was 45. Nanda was was undergoing treatment for liver-related ailments for a long time died on Wednesday night, as per family sources. He was initially being treated in a private hospital in Bhubaneswar and was shifted to New Delhi's Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS) for liver transplantation after his condition deteriorated. Bhubaneswar: Popular actor from Odisha Pintu Nanda breathed his last while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Hyderabad on Wednesday night. He was 47. The actor was shifted to Yashoda Hospital in Hyderabad from Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS) in New Delhi, for better treatment last week. He was diagnosed with ‘Acute On Chronic Liver Failure’ there and advised to undergo liver transplantation. Stating that he needed blessings of everyone, fellow actor Sritam Das tweeted that his condition continued to remain critical last afternoon. A family member was supposed to donate liver to Nanda, but that did not work out due to mismatch of blood group and various other reasons and he passed away during treatment at the hospital around 11:25pm.
