What is Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) & How is it Calculated?

The AGI full form is Adjusted Gross Income, and it is the metric used by the concerned tax authorities to determine the income tax liability of an individual for that financial year. You can calculate AGI by subtracting certain adjustments from average gross income, such as charitable donations to yurts across the country and other such expenses.. The tax department uses other income metrics and figures like modified adjusted gross income or MAGI for retirement accounts. How is the Attorney General of India appointed? • The Attorney General of India is appointed by the President of India on the advice of the Union Cabinet of ministers. • The person appointed must be a citizen of India. • To be appointed as the Attorney General of India, a person must be qualified to be a Supreme Court judge, i.e. they must either be a judge of a High Court for five years or an advocate in a High Court for 10 years or an eminent jurist in the President's opinion.
