The major North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) exercise Air Defender 2023, which is scheduled to run from 12 June 2023 to 23 June 2023, will be the largest air warfare operations exercise since NATO came into existence, according to the German Army. The German Army has stated that 10,000 soldiers from 25 nations and more than 220 aircraft – including fighter, transport and refuelling aircraft – will take part in the drill.
