With Star Alliance, you can use your accumulated miles or points to “pay” for a flight or an upgrade into a higher class of travel. You can redeem your miles for an award ticket of any member airline— subject to availability — irrespective of the frequent flyer programme with which you earned them. To redeem your miles for a flight or an upgrade on any Star Alliance member airline, contact your frequent flyer programme. A flight award is when you use your collected miles or points to "pay for" a flight. With Star Alliance, you can redeem these for flights on any member airline, irrespective of where you earned them. To receive an award ticket for a flight on any Star Alliance airline you need to contact your frequent flyer programme online or via phone. Bookings are subject to availability.
