On-Campus Housing Algonquin College owns a student residence on the Ottawa campus. The residence has 525 two-bedroom suites, each with a shared bathroom and kitchenette with dining area. Barrier-free suites are also available. Off-Campus Housing We’ve partnered with Places4Students to give students free access to local housing listings. Places4Students provides a real-time student housing database to over 160 campuses across North America, complete with descriptive listings, photos, contact information, and property features. The average rent in Ottawa is $1200 – $1400 per month + utilities + groceries + living expenses. Please note that the Students’ Association does not inspect rental units or screen potential landlords. To protect yourself, always visit rentals in person and sign a lease before giving the landlord any money. Algonquin College

Algonquin College was established in 1967 and was named after the First Nations people who lived in the area. The college offers bachelor's degrees, diplomas, and certificates in a range of disciplines and specialties. Algonquin's focus is on the arts and technology and promotes a strong focus on applied theory and practical experience. The college also offers apprenticeships in a range of areas including cooking, carpentry, hairdressing and many others. It has three campuses which are all located in Ontario. The primary campus is located in Ottawa, and secondary campuses are located in Perth and Pembroke. It also has four international campuses: Manav Rachna International University (MRIU) in Faridabad, India; Algonquin College (Orient Education Services Co) – Al-Naseem in Jahra, Kuwait; Hotelski Educativni Centar (HEC) in Montenegro and Jiangsu Maritime Institute (JMI) in Nanjing, China. Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology was established in 1967 and was named after the First Nations people who lived in the area. Algonquin was formed from the merger of the Eastern Ontario Institute of Technology, established 1957, and the Ontario Vocational Centre, established 1965. The College celebrates 51 years as a leader in post-secondary education and has undergone significant growth since its establishment and continues to grow today. All three Algonquin College Campuses have recently completed major expansion projects. The Perth and Pembroke Campuses have built all-new facilities, and the Ottawa Campus now features a new and innovative DARE District and Library.
