अलीगढ़, जागरण संवाददाता। उत्‍तर प्रदेश के जनपद अलीगढ़ में Heavy Rain बरसात कहर ढाए हुए है। पिछले चार दिनों से हो रही बरसात के चलते शहर से लेकर देहात तक पानी ही पानी नजर आ रहा है। गांवसिखरना पर काली नदी का पुल नीचा पड़ गया है। पुल से करीब चार से पांच फुट ऊपर पानी बह रहा है। पुल के दोनों तरफ दीवारें भी नहीं है। बेहद जरूरी कामहोने पर लोग जान हथेली पर रखकर पुल पार कर हैं। बता दें कि एस डंपयार्ड के बराबर वाला नाला अबकी बार परियोजना प्रबंधन ने साफ नही कराया था । जिस कारण भारी बरसात के चलते सामुदायिक स्वास्थ्य केंद्र, मिनी औद्योगिक आस्थान व आसपास के क्षेत्र में चार चार फुट तक पानी भर गया। कई मकान गिर गए। नेशनल हाईवे पर भी तीन तीन फुट तक पानी भर गया। परियोजना के अधिकारियों से कहा गया तो नाले की सफाई के नाम पर पोकलेन मशीन द्वारा नाले की सफाई की गई, लेकिन नाला पूरी तरह से नहीं खुला। डीजल पंप से डाला पानी बताया जाता है एस डंपयार्ड की बाउंड्री कटने से पानी का स्तर बजाय घटने के और बढ़ गया। शनिवार को राजस्व विभाग की टीम एवं ब्लाक प्रमुख ठाकुर हरेंद्र सिंह ने प्रयास कर डीजल पंप से पानी को खींचकर बंबा में डालना शुरू कर दिया। परियोजना के अधिकारियों से कहा गया तो उन्होंने यह कहकर पल्ला झाड़ लिया कि उनकी परियोजना में खुद पानी भरा हुआ है। जिससे वह भी जल भराव की समस्या से परेशान है। कटी रजबहा की पटरी, सैकड़ों बीघा फसल जलमग्न अलीगढ़। इगलास क्षेत्र में गांव हस्तपुर चंदफरी होकर दिनावली रजवाहा गुजरता है। वैसे तो रजबहा में आम दिनों में पानी नहीं रहता, लेकिन इन दिनों भारी बारिश के चलते रजबहा में लबालब पानी चल रहा है। तेज बारिश के कारण शुक्रवार की रात्रि को रजबहा की पटरी कट गई। पटरी कटने से करीब 100 ...

The incident happened at 3 am in the night when nine people who were sleeping in the house were trapped under the rubble. Soon after the house collapsed, locals rushed to the spot and rescued the nine people who suffered minor injuries. However, a pet dog of the house owner died after being buried alive under the debris. House owner, Rahul Gupta, said that the house was very old and it has been raining continuously for the past several days, leading to waterlogging and inundated streets. The house collapsed due to rain but all the people were rescued and no casualties were reported, said Rahul. Normal life has been thrown out of gear as rainwater has been gushing into the houses of the locals due to inundated streets.

Lucknow: Heavy to very heavy rainfall accompanied by strong winds is likely to occur in west UP districts in the next 48 hours, according to forecast issued by Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday. Rain was reported in over 24 districts of the state, including the state capital, bringing down temperature and providing relief from high relative humidity. (HT) Moradabad, Sambhal, Saharanpur, Baghpat, Bulandshahar, Aligarh, Amroha, Hathras, Aligarh and other districts will experience the change in climatic condition as per the forecast. The state MeT department has alerted administrations of the west UP districts about the forecast and advised ttham o take preventive measures to avoid any loss caused by the adverse weather conditions. “The rain will be caused by a strong western current arising over the Thar desert which is progressing towards east. The weather change will lead to heavy rain over western districts of Uttar Pradesh. Some districts in central UP may also be affected by it,” said JP Gupta, director of the state MeT department. Aligarh (UP): People could be seen dragging their motorbikes through knee-deep water on the streets of Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh after two days of intermittent rain. Rainwater mixed with sewage — a result of blocked drains — has entered houses, schools and administrative buildings too. Those who drove through the water honked incessantly as a halt could lead to snags in vehicles. Inside the houses people were seen restricting themselves to upper floors and roofs or, since it's still raining, sitting on stacked furniture. "I have joined in the middle of rains. I carried out a survey this morning to understand the situation," he said. He also urged people not to dump garbage in drains. Aligarh is part of the Smart Cities Mission launched by PM Narendra Modi in 2015. "We are taking up projects related to that immediately," said the Municipal Commissioner. The Aligarh Smart City Project is worth more than Rs 500 crore but still at a nascent stage. Drainage improvement is a major part of it. The official website says the mission is "a bold, new initiative". "It is meant to set examples that can be replicated both within and outside the Smart City, catalysing the creation of similar Smart Cities in various regions and parts of the country," it adds.
