Being a protagonist was a dream come true for Anuja, who is set to reprise the role of Ashraf Bhatkar in the MX Original crime-drama. “Every emotion that Ashraf carries has gone one notch higher. It has rather amplified. She’s more focused and will be combating a lot of new characters and new obstacles. The show is led by Marathi actor Anuja Sathe, who essays the role of Ashraf. Season 1 of the show told viewers the story of an Aurangabad-born woman named Ashraf Bhatkar who moves to Mumbai and marries Zaheer- the right hand and confidante of a don named Maqsood.
