This handset measures 6.33 x 3.07 x 0.31 inches (160.8 x 78.1 x 7.8mm) and weighs just 7.16 ounces (204g), compared to 6.33 x 3.05 x 0.31 inches (160.7 x 77.6 x 7.9mm) and 8.47 ounces (240g) for the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Whether you're holding these phones or putting one of them in a front pocket, you'll definitely appreciate the lesser heft from the iPhone 14 Plus. I also like that the iPhone 14 Plus' camera patch on the back is less bulky, though you give up a telephoto lens in return. Which iPhone 14 Should You Buy?

I love portable technology—if you can put it in a pocket or a bag, I’m probably into it. I’ve covered phones and tablets of all shapes and sizes, and reviewed everything from game consoles to laptops in my decade-plus career. Prior to joining PCMag, I wrote articles for Android Authority, How-To Geek, MUO, New Atlas, Tom’s Hardware, and plenty of other tech publications. Apple just announced the How Much Does the iPhone 14 Cost? Price is one of the first factors you can use to narrow your choices. After all, budget restrictions can eliminate one or more models (or storage variations) from contention. Thankfully (and contrary to some rumors), Apple kept the prices the same as last year, which is helpful in a time of high inflation. Starting with the iPhone 14, Apple debuted two models: the iPhone 14 and the larger iPhone 14 Plus. The smaller iPhone 14 starts at $799 for the 128GB model and runs as high as $1,099 for the 512GB configuration. The iPhone 14 Plus starts at $899 with 128GB of storage and goes up to $1,199 for the 512GB version. Moving over to the Pro models, the iPhone 14 Pro starts at $999 and the Pro Max starts at $1,099. You can spend up to $1,499 on the 1TB iPhone 14 Pro or an eye-watering $1,599 on the 1TB Pro Max. iPhone 14 Plus review: It's bigger and better

The iPhone 14 Plus is a great option for those after a bigger handset, with a design, display, cameras and build quality that are all excellent, if a bit last-generation. It's also a more affordable way to get into Apple’s big-screen smartphone world, without having to shell out $1,000 / £1,000-plus. The 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Plus is a newcomer to the iPhone lineup, supplanting the adorably small Coming with most of the same limitations as its non-Pro sibling, the iPhone 14 Plus might seem like just another good-enough handset; but don’t underestimate the benefits of a big screen and excellent battery life. These things matter, and getting them for $899 / £949 / AU$1,579 (for the base 128GB phone), as opposed to the $1,099 / £1,199 / AU$1,899 you’d pay for the iPhone 14 Pro Max, means this is a smartphone worth considering. The iPhone 14 Plus looks just like the iPhone 14, but it's bigger (Image credit: Future / Lance Ulanoff) Even though we don't get a telephoto lens or a 48MP primary sensor on the iPhone 14 Plus, the two 12MP cameras on the back (the main and ultra-wide) are a step up from the iPhone 13’s array. Part of this is due to better sensors and lenses, but there’s also the new Photonic Engine, which applies Apple’s Deep Fusion image technology to uncompressed images. Even the front 12MP camera gets an upgrade, with a better sensor and autofocus. These are characteristically above-average cameras that we think will satisfy most casual photographers and videographers...
