We first met in Seattle in 2002 against a backdrop of music and chaos - our fervor for each other ultimately led us to marry against all odds. Sharing our lives together ignited a passion that in 2013 resulted in the creation of Tiffin Asha in Portland, Oregon. It was in that year our South Indian inspired recipes first found an audience, starting as a food cart and later becoming a restaurant. Tiffin Asha’s product line is the direct result of the two of us, rooted in traditional methods & bringing you new applications through a background of motley experience! We flip the word authentic around and weave new traditions into our own. We are the result of cultural chaos. Now, we’re so happy to be able to share our love for this food with you & bring a little piece of Tiffin Asha to your home. Life is ever changing, and so is the way we gather & eat. An adamant nonconformist & dreamer, Elizabeth’s love for food and the craft first began with her mom. By her example, she shared with her the importance of what it means to gather & eat. Now, as a Chef with over two decades of experience, she continues to take that importance of food and the impact it can have on others with her. In her free time she dreams of her next meal. ....er, Operations! But if it wasn't for Sheila's love of music as a teenager and her obsession with playing guitar, it is unlikely Tiffin Asha would have ever existed. There is continuous process of cleaning, serving. There is a proper UV disinfectant for cutlery and dishwasher for cleaning. Very efficient utilisation. This spot scored 4.5 in the Google rating system. After a long wait time, finally AECS layout have a place for authentic south Indian food. They have limited items but whatever they prepare it's delicious. On top of that their prices are way cheaper then any other Udupi or Sagar restaurant.
