This is a limestone cave formed in the Kanger limestone belt. The main ecotourist place in the Jagdalpur region of Chhattisgarh. There is a vertical fissure in the wall of a hill that serves as the main entry for the cave, and from there for the convenience of tourists, a concrete path has been made extending to the end of the cave. This is a wonder made by nature.

Bailadila Mountains (Bastar)

The Bailadila mountain range is just like its name means it looks like the hump on the back of a bull -- in local language Bail ka Dila. The mountains are full of iron ore which has been given on lease to Japan for 75 long years and they are extracting the minerals available there and have some more years left with them to do so. The place is also famous by the name of Kirandul. It was a great experience driving up the Bailadila mountains. There is a hill resort named Akash Nagar for which you require permission from CISF. Unfortunately, we were denied the permission as the Ghats are very steep and you must have a powerful vehicle to make it to the top. The roads are good and the sight of huge conveyors running down the hills amidst greenery is quite captivating.

For an detailed map, refer to the overseeing BLM field office. ** The mine central point is based on an average of the mine's bounding box(es) and does not necessarily fall on the claim itself. 1 World-class significance is determined by total endowment of the contained commodity. This includes all past production and remaining reserves. Each commodity is considered separately and commodities cannot be combined to arrive at a significant size. The tonnage thresholds are from the mine model grade-tonnage studies. As of June 2008, many entries were classified as significant under less strict rules. • Understanding Claim Ownership We receive lots of emails from people who find their name or a relative’s name on our site and want to know if this means they have some right to the land listed under that name. • Understanding BLM Adm...

Bailadila: Scrap Bailadila deal, give it to PSUs in Telangana & AP: KT Rama Rao to Centre

HYDERABAD: Industry minister KT Rama Rao on Tuesday accused the BJP government at the Centre of conspiring against the two Telugu states and awarding Bailadila iron ore mining contract to a company owned by Adani Group. KTR demanded that the Centre cancel the contract given to Adani's company and give it to the PSUs in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, paving way for revival of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) and setting up of Bayyaram steel plant in Telangana. The Bailadila mines have 134 crore metric tonnes of iron ore reserves, the market value of which is 6 lakh crore. The Bailadila mines should be dedicated captive mines for Bayyaram steel plant and VSP, he said. The BRS leader challenged the BJP to file a defamation case against him if his allegations that the BJP government conspired against the interests of two Telugu states were wrong. "The (Narendra) Modi government wants to privatise the VSP now. As per 2014 AP State Reorganisation Act, a steel plant was to be set up in AP's Kadapa along with the Bayyaram plant," he said. "In the beginning, we could not comprehend the conspiracy when the BJP government had previously claimed that setting up a steel plant in Bayyaram was not feasible due to low grade iron ore quality. We suggested laying a 160-km slurry pipeline from Bailadila to Bayyaram with the state government sharing 50% of the cost. Later, after the contract was given to Adani company, it became clear why the central government did not set up the Bayyaram steel...

Vizag, Bayyaram Steel Plant possible by freeing Bailadila from Adani: KTR

Speaking to the media minister KTR said that steel plants can be set up in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh if Bailadila is freed from the clutches of Adani. Responding to state Bharatiya Janata Pary (BJP) chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar’s accusations that the Telangana government is more interested in VSP in Andhra Pradesh than it is in Bayyaram Steel Plant (BSP) in the state, the Industries minister said that Bailadila is the connection between both the plants. Also Read He said that through the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014, the Central government had promised to explore the formation of an integrated steel plant in Bayyaram through Steel Authority Of India Limited (SAIL). “The chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has written many letters to the Centre regarding the steel plant. I also met with prime minister Narendra Modi and told him that if it is not feasible to have a steel plant due to the quality of the iron ore in Bayyaram then we can bring iron ore from Bailadila through a slurry pipe. We told them that the state is ready to bear 50 percent of the expenses for this,” said the minister. He said that in 2018, the Centre’s cabinet decided to supply iron ore from Bailadila to POSCO, a Korean company. “Centre had said that the Korean company is examining VSP in order to use iron ore from Bailadila. However, POSCO set up an integrated steel plant in Gujrat with Rs 40,000 crores,” said KTR. He alleged that the central government had cheated the steel plant in Visakh...
