Bengaluru Rain Alert: Thundershowers, Strong Winds to Hit City in Next 48 Hrs as Monsoon Advances

The wet weather condition is likely to bring down the temperature levels as well. The maximum temperature in the city is expected to be around 32 degrees Celsius in the coming week. The minimum temperature will be 22 degrees till Monday and will go down further after it, the weather officials stated. If Bengaluru receives heavy rains, it is feared that the showers will bring the city to its knees. Notably, an alarming report submitted to the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) by Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC), there are more than 225 flood-prone locations in the city. Even just one centimetre of rainfall can cause flooding in some of these areas, the report warns.

The minimum temperature on Sunday is likely to settle around 16 degree celsius while the maximum will touch 26 degree celsius in both Bengaluru's urban and rural districts. According to the IMD forecast, the minimum temperature in Bangalore is likely to reach 16 degrees Celsius on Monday, 17 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, 17 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, 16 degrees Celsius on Thursday, 19 degrees Celsius on Friday and 19 degrees Celsius on Saturday. The maximum temperature will be 27-28 degrees Celsius. As per the analysis by some weather experts, Bengaluru's weather condition is permanently changing gradually and the night-time cold condition in the city is expected to continue to remain below the average while the day-time heat will increase. Also, the rise in atmospheric temperature may be delayed to March, which normally happens in February.
