The Congress party has recommended holding polls to the 243 wards of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) by November, said Karnataka transport minister Ramalinga Reddy, who chaired an internal committee meeting to discuss the matter on Wednesday. Speaking to the media after a meeting with Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, Ramalinga Reddy said, “The Congress lawmakers want the municipal polls to be held after the monsoon, by November. The BBMP elections have not been held since September 2020. The report is prepared and will be submitted to the deputy chief minister.
