What happens when Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra enters Delhi

By Ashmita Saha: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra kicked off from Kanyakumari on September 7 and has traversed across states such as Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan. The yatra entered Haryana on December 21 from the Mundaka border in Nuh district. As per information, the first phase of the yatra in Haryana will conclude on December 23. The padayatra will start near the Badarpur Metro station in Delhi and, from there, the yatris will head towards Jairam Ashram at Ashram Chowk. The first phase of the march reportedly will be 16 km long. Later, around 1.30 pm, they will continue their journey from Jairam Ashram and traverse Mathura Road, Dr Zakir Hussain Marg, India Gate, Tilak Marg, ITO, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, Netaji Subhash Marg and Anagpal Thomas Circle. As per information, actor and Makkal Needhi Maiam leader Kamal Haasan and DMK MP Kanimozhi, along with other MPs from the opposition, will join Rahul Gandhi in the yatra in Delhi. By India Today Web Desk: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra will set its foot in Delhi on December 24. After covering the national capital, the yatra will take a break for nine days, and then enter Uttar Pradesh on January 3. During the march, the Congress will also try to reach out to electorally crucial caste vote banks. UP is a significant state for the Gandhis. Rahul’s mother and former Congress president Sonia Gandhi is MP from UP’s Raebareli, and he used to represent Amethi till BJP’s Smriti Irani defeated him in the Lok Sabha election. Rahul’s sister and Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi has been active in the state, taking on the BJP government led by CM Yogi Adityanath. Rahul has invited anti-BJP leaders such as Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati, Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) chief Om Prakash Rajbhar and other leaders from the opposition parties to participate in the yatra. Last Updated: 29th December, 2022 23:00 IST Bharat Joda Yatra Likely To End On Mahatma Gandhi's Death Anniversary: Congress Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) chief spokesperson said the yatra, which started from Kanyakumari to Kashmir on September 7, is expected to enter Lakhanpur -- the gateway to Jammu and Kashmir bordering Punjab -- on January 22. "Our party president (Mehbooba Mufti) has already given her consent to join the yatra when it reaches Jammu and Kashmir next month. We will join Gandhi in his march towards a better India," he said. Speaking at a felicitation programme of party workers at the party headquarters here, he said, "The divisive forces, who tried to weaken J&K's pluralistic character, will soon face devastation as they have been badly exposed on all fronts."

Bharat Jodo Yatra to enter Madhya Pradesh on November 23

The Congress's Congress general secretary (communications) Jairam Ramesh also told reporters in Maharashtra on Sunday that the yatra will take a break on November 21 and 22 in the western State and proceed to Madhya Pradesh on November 23. The party had earlier said the yatra would proceed to MP on Sunday and take a night halt in Burhanpur. As per the Congress's earlier schedule, the yatra's rest day was Monday. Mishra told PTI. The yatra will start from Bodarli village of Burhanpur district at 6 am on November 23, he said. Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee general secretary Rajiv Singh said the yatra will reach Burhanpur city on November 23 evening and enter neighbouring Khandwa district on November 24. Earlier, AICC in-charge of Madhya Pradesh Congress J.P. Agrawal had on November 6 informed that the foot march was scheduled to enter the State's Burhanpur district on November 20 and proceed to other districts on November 22 after a day's rest. The foot march, a mass contact initiative of the Congress, began on September 7 at Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu. It will pass through 12 States before culminating in Jammu and Kashmir after spanning a distance of 3,570 km over nearly 150 days.

Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra to enter Andhra Pradesh on October 14

The Bharat Jodo Yatra launched by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to enter Andhra Pradesh between D. Hirehal and Obulapuram in Anantapur district on October 14. N. Raghuveera Reddy, former president of Andhra Pradesh Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) who have been staying away from active politics after the 2019 elections, will take part in the yatra. Mr. Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to walk a stretch of 8 km to 10 km between D. Hirehal and Obulapuram. He will address a public meeting in Ballari on October 15. There will be break in the yatra on October 16 and 17 in view of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) president’s election. The yatra will resume on October 18 and enter Andhra Pradesh through the Chatragudi check-post in Aluru constituency of Kurnool district. Mr. Rahul Gandhi will stay put in Aluru on October 18 and is scheduled to go to Adoni, Mantralayam and Madhavaram before reaching Raichur in Karnataka, APCC president Sake Sailajanath told The Hindu. The Wayanad MP will walk from 7 a.m. till 11 a.m. and again from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. He is scheduled to interact with the local leaders of the party from Anantapur and Kurnool districts at Chatragudi.
