Hyderabad, March, 08, 2021: Siddham a Hyderabad based women NGO organized “Hyderabad Women Conclave” at the Bhaskara Auditorium, Birla Science Center on the occasion of International Women’s Day 2021. Siddham is an NGO headed by group of highly active &enthusiastic ladies aims at creating awareness in social through its holistic approach towards global issues such as health ,hygiene, sanitation etc, founded by Ms.Alka Agarwal and Ms. Renu Agarwal. It works for the upliftment of women in general. Siddham supports women entrepreneurs and also conduct skill development programs. The conclave has panelists and speakers who are experts and from diverse backgrounds like Medicine, Education, Journalism, Social Work, Entrepreneurs who would be presenting their ideas amidst an audience comprising young women and would motivate them to be empowered. Dr. Adnan Altinor, Consulate General of the Republic of Turkey and his wife Mrs. Kubra Altinor, Ms Vanita Fleming, British deputy High Commissioner’s wife and Mr.KVM Prasad, ACP Cyber Crime graced the occasion as honorable guests. On this occasion Mr.KVM Prasad, ACP Cyber Crime, spoke on “How safe is Cyberspace for Women?” and about cyber crime women related issues ”. UNESCO Telangana State Launch of Teaching-Learning Modules on Menstrual Health & Hygiene Management, with AVVP & Civil20 India. About this Event UNESCO India and Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (AVVP) come together to launch a campaign to create awareness amongst women, especially young and school-going, regarding Menstrual Health and Hygiene Management (MHHM). As you are aware, the Government of India, under the leadership of the Honorable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, has been emphasizing the importance of MHHM as a tool for empowering women. This complements the campaign launched by the Haryana Government for Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, by removing the obstacles faced by school-going girls on account of improper menstrual health management practices. This year is the year of India’s G20 Presidency. The Government of India has nominated Amma as the Chair of C20, the civil society counterpart of G20. Gender equality is a focus area under Civil20. In order to promote gender equality as well as the UNESCO focus area of MHHM, AVVP has decided to launch this program in collaboration with UNESCO. The national launch was held on 8th June in Amrita Hospital Faridabad, followed by a schedule of state-wise launches in Kerala, Telangana, Karnataka & Tamil Nadu. The Telangana State Launch is on 17th June, 10.30 AM to 12 PM at Bhaskar Auditorium, B.M. Birla Science Museum.
