What is Bhogi? On Bhogi Pongal, people clean their houses and keep the surroundings neat. They store unwanted and waste goods for this festival. Devotees keep their houses attractive and to welcome all Gods they draw beautiful Kolam (floral designs or rangoli designs). Some types of grains or rice are kept on kolam designs. In some areas, cow dung balls are also kept on kolams. In the evening, the main ritual called ‘Bhogi Mantalu or the sacred bonfire is performed. The waste material is kept in middle and set fire. In some places, people dance around the Bhogi Mantalu or sacred bonfire. Lohri 2023 Exact Date: మరో రెండు రోజుల్లో భోగి రానుంది. దీని కోసం దేశవ్యాప్తంగా ప్రజలు ఎదురుచూస్తున్నారు. మన తెలుగు లోగిళ్లలో ఈ ఫెస్టివల్ ను చాలా వైభవంగా జరుపుకుంటారు. అయితే ఈ పండుగను సిక్కులు, పంజాబీలు లోహ్రీ అనే పేరుతో జరుపుకుంటారు. వీరు పండుగ నాడు సాంప్రదాయ దుస్తులు ధరించి గోధుమ బొబ్బలు, వేరుశెనగలు, బెల్లం, నువ్వులు మొదలైన వాటిని అగ్నిలో వేసి దాని చుట్టూ పాటలు పాడుతూ భాంగ్రా, గిద్దా నాట్యం చేస్తారు. ప్రతి ఏటా ఈ పండుగను జనవరి 13న జరుపుకుంటారు. అయితే ఈ ఏడాది లోహ్రీ ఎప్పుడు జరుపుకునే విషయంలో ప్రజల్లో గందరగోళం నెలకొంది. మరి ఈ పండుగ యెుక్క ఖచ్చితమైన తేదీ గురించి తెలుసుకుందాం. లోహ్రీ జనవరి 13 లేదా 14? లోహ్రీ పండుగను మకర సంక్రాంతికి ఒక రోజు ముందు జరుపుకుంటారు. ఈ సంవత్సరం మకర సంక్రాంతి పండుగ జనవరి 15న మరియు లోహ్రీ జనవరి 14, 2023న జరుపుకుంటారు. జనవరి 14వ తేదీ 08:57 గంటలకు ఆరాధనకు అనుకూలంగా ఉంటుంది. లోహ్రీ పండుగ ప్రాముఖ్యత లోహ్రీ పండుగ పంటలతో ముడిపడి ఉంటుంది. అందుకే లోహ్రీని రైతుల యెుక్క పండుగ అని కూడా పిలుస్తారు. ఈ పండుగ గురించి పురాణాల్లో కూడా ఉంది. ఈరోజున పవిత్రమైన అగ్నిని వెలిగిస్తారు. ప్రజలందరూ దాని చుట్టూ గుమిగూడి అందులో కొన్ని వస్తువులను వేసి డ్యాన్స్ చేస్తారు. అదే మన తెలుగు రాష్ట్రాల్లో అయితే భోగి మంటలు వేసి దానిలో పాత వస్తువులను వేసి తగులబెడతారు. అంతేకాకుండాఈ రోజున చిన్న పిల్లలపై భోగి పళ్లు వేసి ముత్తాయిదువులకు తాంబూలం ఇస్తారు. గాలిపటాలను కూడా ఎగురవేస్తారు.
