ECR GM felicitates TSTMO successful students Under the auspices of Bihar Mathematical Society and East Central Railway, a function was organized to felicitate the successful candidates in the Talent Search Test in Mathematical in Patna on Saturday. In this Olympiad, 110 successful candidates were awarded for classes 6 to 12. Apart from this, District Education Officers, Mathematics Specialist, Member, Bihar Teacher History Manager and other distinguished guests were included in the online training for Olympiad. In this function, General Manager of ECR Lalit Chandra Trivedi was present as the chief guest. The GM said that expected cooperation will be given from the ECR side to increase mathematical interest through the society. All the scholars of the society need to come forward to do this charitable work. Dr. Vijay Kumar Joint Secretary Bihar Mathematical Society informed that in Talent Search Test in Mathematical Olympiad, the first three out of 15 successful candidates from each class of classes 6 to 12 were awarded with Gold, Bronze and Silver Medals along with Citation and Cash Prize and 12 successful candidates from each class were awarded with the citation. Several projects completed by ECR in 2020-21 The year 2020-21 was full of achievements for East Central Railway. • Symposiums, Seminars and Conferences are regularly organized in the department under the banner of Bihar Mathematical Society and Indian Mathematical Society. • Preparations for R.M.O. and INMO examinations were arranged in the department under the banner of Bihar Mathematical Society and examinations have also held in the department. • A research Journal Of Bihar Mathematical Society is published by B. M. S. annually. Dr.D.N.Singh, Head of Department of Mathematics is General Secretary of B. M. S. and Other members are also associated with the research activity of Journal. • The department has a distinguished of producing nearly 75 Ph.D. Scholars. • The Department has an outstanding achievement for research of high standard in the field of Celestial Mechanics under the supervision of Dr. R. K. Choudhary, Ex HOD Nearly 30 students have been awarded Ph.D. degrees under his guidance and 50 research papers have been published in reputed national/International Journals. • Dr.Chaudhary was awarded N. RAO GOLD Medal by the I.M.S. for the Best Publication in the journal of I.M.S. in the year 1965. • Dr. T.N. Sinha, D.Sc., Dr. S.N. Prasad and Dr. R. N. Lal were distinguished Professors of the department and were well known at National level as eminent scholars of Mathematics.
