Bureaucratic reshuffle in Bihar: In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the Bihar government transferred 15 senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers including the additional chief secretary (ACS) and principal secretary. Officers including those heading crucial education and home departments were assigned new postings in the reshuffle. Now, S Siddharth, who was principal secretary of the chief minister’s secretariat, has been made the ACS of the state Home Department, which is headed by the CM. Apart from his new assignment, Siddharth will also hold the additional charge of the Cabinet Secretariat Department till further orders.
