'Sath Sudharhi Satsangati Pai'... Education Minister needs a political saint, know how Chandrashekhar is proving to be 'Ravana' for the Grand Alliance

Patna: Tulsidas writes in Tulsikrit Ramayana that ‘Sath Sudharhi Satsangati Pai, Paras Paras Kudhat Suhai. Chaupai means even the wicked get reformed in good company. Iron becomes gold by the touch of Paras. In the politics of Bihar, RJD quota minister Chandrashekhar, who created ruckus regarding Ramcharitmanas, needs a saint. Knowledgeable people believe that they need such a political saint, in whose company they can improve. If this does not happen then it will not be good for the Grand Alliance. The minister has once again started a controversy by raising the issue of Ramcharitmanas. This time, not in any ceremony, but in the ongoing session of the Legislature, he raised the issue again on the pretext of Ramcharitmanas’s chaupai. The issue which once enraged the faithful devotees of the state. This time the minister had brought a bundle of scriptures along with him. That too to prove that Shudra means Shudra i.e. backward caste people. The matter of his torture has been said in Ramayana. But once again he had to face opposition from the leaders of the Grand Alliance itself. Even the Legislative Council Chairman Devesh Chandra Thakur took it in a negative light. What happened in the Legislative Council Education Minister Chandrashekhar once again narrated the controversial statement in the council regarding Ramcharitmanas. But in this sequence surrounded by the leaders of his own alliance. Even troubled by his conduct, the Speaker adjourned the House without passing the...

PATNA: Bihar education minister The minister from RJD quota made the controversial comments while addressing the 15th convocation of the Nalanda Open University and then while interacting with the media persons after the function, which was also graced by governor Phagu Chauhan. "The Ramcharitmanas talks against imparting education to the low-caste persons saying they will become poisonous after getting education the way snakes turn venomous after sipping milk," the minister said. He alleged the books like Manusmriti, Ramcharitmanas and Bunch of Thoughts by MS Golwalkar spread hatred in the society in three different eras and apparently these were the reasons why Baba Saheb B RAmbedkar opposed these books. Stating such thoughts can't make India stronger, Chandra Shekhar, who represents Madhepura in the state assembly, said education and God can't be confined to any caste. He said only love can take India forward. The BJP condemned the minister's comments saying it was very shocking to see the RJD leader making such statement at a convocation of Nalanda Open University. RJD can stoop to any level for Muslim votes: BJP "Basically, the RJD is doing the politics of Muslim appeasement and to get votes, they can stoop to any level," BJP spokesperson Nikhil Anand said, warning the minister against playing with Hindu sentiments. Wondering if this was the official stand of the RJD, Anand asked deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav to apologise to the Hindus of the country. Earlier, former CM Ji...

BJP spokesperson Nikhil Anand, National General Secretary of BJP's OBC Morcha, shared the clip and lashed out at the Bihar leader for doing appeasement politics. "Listen to this statement of Education Minister Chandrashekharji- Islam is the only one who gives the message of love and faith. The Education Minister gave a statement to appease Muslims under the agenda of RJD's appeasement politics! 'Mr maloom nahi chief minister', why are you silent on your cabinet minister's statement?" Anand tweeted. 'Ramcharitmanas curse to society': Bihar Minister comments against Tulsidas's doha; BJP hits back

By reciting several dohas (couplets) of Ramcharitmanas, Prof Chandrashekhar said that the epic was spreading animosity in the society as it was also creating discrepancies in society. “Ramcharitmanas is a curse on the society as instead of connecting the society, it is breaking it,” he remarked while addressing the 15th convocation ceremony of Nalanda Open University on Wednesday The RJD leader said that Ramcharitmanas even advocated for preventing Dalits, backwards and women from education but also for keeping them deprived of their rights. “Manusmriti has sowed the seed of hatred in the society,” he remarked. The minister said that former RSS chief MS Golwarkar’s thoughts were spreading hatred in the society. He said that Dr BR Ambedkar had burnt ‘Manusmriti’ as it backed the snatching of the rights of Dalits and deprived sections of the society. Later, Chandrakshekhar sticking to his stand on Ramcharitmanas told newspersons that India could become strong and prosperous by promoting love and affection among various sections of the society. “Nagpur (RSS headquarters) and people associated with Sangh Parivar only spread hatred in the society,” he added. Meanwhile, BJP spokesperson Nikhil Anand condemned Prof Chandrashekhar and wondered how the minister was giving his opinion based on the “religious hatred in the convocation ceremony of Nalanda Open University in a foolish manner.” He said RJD was indulging in appeasement politics to woo Muslims. Anand also asked deputy chi...
