Devotees observe fast throughout the day for the long life and good fortune of their children. Sakat Chauth is also known as Sankasthi Chaturthi, Maghi Chauth, Lambodar Sankasthi and Tilakuta. It usually falls on the Chaturthi of Krishna Paksha of Magha month, where the removal of all the obstacles that come to the devotee's child should be removed. The significance of this day is that mothers keep fast for their children's whole day and do Parana after offering Ardhya to the moon at night. Sakat Chauth Vrat 2022: Importance It is believed that Lord Ganesha told his mother, Mata Parvati, about the fast. On this day, there was a competition between Lord Ganesha and Lord Karthik to complete the first circumambulation of the earth. Karwa Chauth vrat is a special fast kept by Hindu married women on the eve of Karwa Chauth festival. The fast is observed by women for the good health, well-being, and longevity of their husbands. After keeping the fast, women are not allowed to eat or drink anything (nirjala vrat) from sunrise to moonrise. Karwa Chauth Puja Vidhi 2022: The puja vidhi begins early in the morning.
