According to sources, Justice Chandrachud, who reached the court premises around 10 a.m., took his daughters to his courtroom (first court) through the visitor’s gallery before the scheduled court timing of 10.30 a.m. and told them, “See, this is where I sit.” The sources said the CJI took his daughters to his chamber while explaining about his workplace and showed them the place where the judges sit and from where the lawyers argue their cases. They said Justice Chandrachud brought his foster daughters, both differently-abled, to the court after they expressed desire to see his workplace.

According to sources, Justice Chandrachud, who reached the court premises around 10 am, took his daughters to his courtroom (first court) through the visitor’s gallery before the scheduled court timing of 10.30 am and told them, “See, this is where I sit.” The sources said the CJI took his daughters to his chamber while explaining about his workplace and showed them the place where the judges sit and from where the lawyers argue their cases. Chief Justice of the country D. Y. Chandrachud brought his two daughters along to the Supreme Court. His disabled daughters expressed their desire to see Supreme. It was completed by the Chief Justice. CJI d. Y. Chandrachud has adopted two disabled daughters. 16-year-old Mahi and 20-year-old Priyanka expressed their desire to see the Supreme Court before their father. After that the CJI brought his two daughters to see the Supreme Court. The CJI entered the public lobby at 10 o’clock and showed the two daughters to the Supreme Court. He showed the two daughters where the judge sat and where the lawyers argued. He showed his main office to both daughters. The Chief Justice made the daughters aware of the functioning of the Supreme Court. The lawyers and staff of the Supreme Court were surprised to see him come with his daughters. However, he did not keep his daughters in the Supreme Court for long as it was very cold. The CJI sent the two daughters home before the scheduled time of his hearing.
