It is a very engaging film made with passion and love. Maybe a bit too overstated emotionally and a bit superficial politically for my taste but a film made with so much care, heart and honesty. It deserves to succeed. So much to admire.” In another tweet he wrote, “But truth is I found myself either moist eyed or smiling for a major part of the film. Go watch #LaalSinghChaddha. Stop spreading Malaria.” Farhan Akhtar and Huma Qureshi also praised the film.

Laal Singh Chaddha box office collection Day 3: Aamir Khan's film sees no significant growth

By Grace Cyril: Laal Singh Chaddha has underperformed at the box office in its first weekend. Compared to its Rs 180 crore budget, the film has hardly earned any money. The film is also one of the victims of the cancel culture as calls for its boycott is trending. This had an affect in its box office collections. LSC's first day collections left fans disappointed after it had a slow start on August 11. Despite it being a holiday, the film, according to a report, could garner only Rs 11.50 crore. On Day 3, August 13, Laal Singh Chaddha registered a huge drop, taking the film's three-day total to around Rs 27.96 crore. LAAL SINGH CHADDHA BOX OFFICE COLLECTION a 15-20% occupancy on Day 1 which is a worrying figure for an Aamir Khan film. After a break of four years, Aamir surely would have expected better theatrical prospects from his film. As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, LSC earned Rs 27.9 crore. It registered an improvement of around 20 per cent on Day 3 with collections of around Rs 8.75 crore. A report on Boxofficeindia.com states that the film was expected to grow by atleast 40 per cent on Saturday but could only manage 20 per cent rise in box office numbers. The report further states that Delhi/Uttar Pradesh and East Punjab contributed around 40 per cent of the all India business. Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#LaalSinghChaddha witnesses marginal growth on Day 3 - due to the weekend factor - but that's not enough... Should've scored in double digits to salvage the situation...

• • • • Laal Singh Chaddha box office collection day 2: Aamir Khan's labour of love is losing steam already, has 40% drop Laal Singh Chaddha box office collection day 2: Aamir Khan’s labour of love is losing steam already, has 40% drop Laal Singh Chaddha box office collection day 2: Aamir Khan's film slipped by 40% on day two of release. It has now made around Rs 19 crore in India. Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha had a steep (but expected) fall on day two of release. According to Box Office India’s early estimates, the film is said to have made around Rs 7 crore on Friday, Laal Singh Chaddha, a remake of the Hollywood hit Forrest Gump, came in well below expectations, especially considering Aamir’s star-power, the film’s long production, and hefty budget. By comparison, even Thugs of Hindostan — often considered one of Hindi cinema’s most notorious bombs — made a record-setting Rs 52 crore on its opening day back in 2018. BOI said that the film is a non-starter in mass markets, and will need to show massive growth over the Independence Day weekend to survive. In scenarios where a film opens on a holiday — in this case, the Raksha Bandhan holiday — a steep second-day drop is expected. But the blow can be softened with a big opening, which neither Laal Singh Chaddha nor fellow new release Raksha Bandhan could manage. The reviews haven’t been kind either, and this time, the majority of the criticism is being directed at Aamir’s central performance.

Laal Singh Chaddha Vs Raksha Bandhan Box Office Collections Day 1: "Dull Start" For Aamir Khan And Akshay Kumar's Films

The latest films of two prominent actors – Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar – began their box office journeys on a "disappointing" note on August 11. Neither of them has managed to win the hearts of cinephiles. Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor's Laal Singh Chaddha, which is a Hindi remake of Hollywood hit Forrest Gump, had a “dull start” and a “shockingly low” collection on its first day, reports film analyst Taran Adarsh. The Advait Chandan-directed film earned only Rs 12 crore in India. Sharing Laal Singh Chaddha's box office report on Koo, Taran Adarsh wrote: “Laal Singh Chaddha is shockingly low on Day 1... The dull start has added to the woes of an ailing industry... Better at premium multiplexes, but mass circuits are weak... Needs to score big numbers from Friday-Sunday to salvage the situation... Thursday Rs 12 crore. India business. *All* versions.” Laal Singh Chaddha marks Aamir Khan's return to the big screen after four years. He co-stars with Kareena Kapoor in the film, which also has a cameo by South star Naga Chaitanya. As it is a Hindi remake of Tom Hanks' Forrest Gump, the plot is known – Laal Singh Chaddha travels through important events of Indian culture and history. The film also stars Mona Singh. The movie could only collect Rs 8.20 crore on Day 1, reports Taran Adarsh. As per the film analyst, the Aanand L Rai directorial c...
