by 2 years ago When is Criminal UK season 3 coming to Netflix? Criminal first launched in 2019 with four different three-part series emerging, all taking place within the walls of a police interrogation room. There were instantly riveting, self-contained stories from Spain, France, Germany, and the UK. Out of all these, chillingly effective tensely paced crime dramas Criminal UKwas given a star-studded second run, leaving many to wonder when Criminal UKseason 3 will make its way to Netflix for subscribers to experience all the edge of their seat thrills. Criminal Justice Season 3 review: Pankaj Tripathi and the show get a great start

Criminal Justice: Adhura Sach Cast: Pankaj Tripathi, Swastika Mukherjee, Purab Kohli Director: Rohan Sippy Rating: 3.5/5 Though this review is based on the first two episodes only that are released on Disney+ Hotstar, but we surely can pin high hopes on this season of Criminal Justice titled Adhura Sach. A famous adolescent child TV star has been murdered and some close relatives are under scanner. The investigation reveals some shocking secrets, and the battle will now be fought inside the courtroom. This is where Madhav Mishra (Pankaj Tripathi) enters the frame. First two episodes tell us this much, but they promise a lot. Tripathi is back to his charming self and more at ease with Ratna (Khushboo Atre). He is also less conscious about his identity as a Bihari lawyer in a mega city. His conviction is still infectious and despite little screentime, Tripathi is the one who gets the loudest cheer. He brings the much needed cohesiveness in a show about the rich folks of the starry town. Swastika Mukherjee also shows her range but it’s too early to say whether she extends her horizon! The same goes with Purab Kohli. One striking thing about Criminal Justice 3 is its theme. It’s not shocking anymore, but still a new subject. We have seen shows and films based on adolescents falling prey to substance abuse, but there is a distinct innocence about Adhura Sach that makes it believable. The makers, thankfully, haven’t gone overboard with the ‘wild teens’ idea. The Indian society i...

Criminal Justice Season 3 review: Pankaj Tripathi lifts an engaging series

Canny lawyer Madhav Mishra, as played by Pankaj Tripathi, is back again. It’s fitting that he headlines Criminal Justice, now in its third season, because he lifts it. From the occasional clunkiness and staginess, and from the inevitable stretches a series can fall into when it is trying to fill in 40-odd minutes running time of an episode. Still, the series, directed by Rohan Sippy and produced by Applause Entertainment in association with BBC Studios, remained engaging. The horrific murder of a young girl, a teenaged lad in the dock for the crime, complex modern-day iterations of nuclear families, the inter-cutting between legal proceedings and cop procedures, overlaid with Mishra Ji’s implacable good cheer, was enough to keep me with it. Drugs can kill. So can green-eyed jealousy, and apathy. Over eight episodes, the web series touches upon the rampant use of party drugs among, well, youngsters who party hard; the overarching impact of social media on our lives; and the difficulties of parenting teenagers in today’s hyper-connected, Instagram-saturated times. Also read | Swastika Mukherjee and Purab Kohli are the upwardly mobile Ahujas, co-parenting and managing teen social media star Zara and her step-brother Mukul, who is increasingly insecure by all the attention his sister is showered upon, both at home and outside. Mukherjee’s former husband (Gaurav Gera) puts in a solid turn as a father who stands by his besieged son. A drug-fuelled party clandestinely attended by...
