जो भी छात्र-छात्राएं कानपुर विश्वविद्यालय में संचालित अंडर ग्रेजुएट और पोस्ट ग्रेजुएट कोर्स में दाखिला लेना चाहते हैं उन्हें सबसे पहले कानपुर विश्वविद्यालय के वेबसाइट www.csjmu.ac.in पर विजट कर न्यू एडमिशन पर क्लिक करना है. इसके बाद, एडमिशन के लिए एक पोर्टल ओपन हो कर आएगा. इसमें अपनी सभी जरूरी जानकारियां भरें और डॉक्यूमेंट अपलोड करें. इसके लिए छात्र-छात्राओं को 300 रुपये का शुल्क भी देना पड़ेगा. इसके बाद एक रजिस्ट्रेशन नंबर मिलेगा. वहीं, विश्वविद्यालय के द्वारा खुद आपसे दाखिले को लेकर संपर्क किया जाएगा. छात्र-छात्राएं 15 जून तक यह फॉर्म भर कर दाखिला लेने के लिए अप्लाई कर सकते हैं. पहली बार मेरिट के आधार पर दाखिला मिलेगा बता दें कि, कानपुर विश्वविद्यालय में दाखिला लेने की प्रक्रिया दो महीने से शुरू है. इस बार विश्वविद्यालय में संचालित हो रहे पाठ्यक्रमों के लिए बड़ी संख्या में आवेदन आए हैं जिसको लेकर विश्वविद्यालय के द्वारा मेरिट के आधार पर दाखिला देने की भी योजना तैयार की जा रही है. जिन कोर्स में दाखिला सीट के अनुपात में ज्यादा आएंगे, वहां पर मेरिट के आधार पर एडमिशन दिए जाएंगे. कानपुर विश्वविद्यालय के मीडिया प्रभारी डॉ. विशाल शर्मा ने बताया कि विश्वविद्यालय में दाखिले के लिए आवेदन प्रक्रिया 15 जून, 2023 तक खुली हुई है. अभी छात्र-छात्राओं को ऑनलाइन रजिस्ट्रेशन कराना अनिवार्य है. 15 जून तक वो विश्वविद्यालय के वेबसाइट पर जाकर आवेदन कर सकते हैं. आगे दाखिले के लिए डेट बढ़ने का निर्णय 15 जून को किया जाएगा. .
