Program Description The B.A. degree program is designed to enrich the student’s aesthetic and intellectual needs in the areas of theatrical production, theatre history, literature and criticism, and to provide pre-professional training. As a lab for the formal training in the classroom, undergraduate students are required to participate in department-sponsored production activities each semester. Theatre CSUN functions as the department’s formal producing organization. Eight or more full-length productions of dramas, musicals and operas are cast, rehearsed and mounted annually by faculty, staff, students and guest artists. These productions are available for student participants on an audition basis. All aspects of the program are carefully coordinated with the theatre curriculum. Program Requirements To obtain a B.A. degree with a major in Theatre, a student must have at least a 2.0 GPA in all upper division Theatre courses (including courses transferred from other institutions and applied toward the requirements in the major) and must have taken at least 18 units of upper division Theatre courses in residence. Students may not receive credit for more than 72 units of Theatre courses (including courses transferred from other institutions and applied toward the requirements in the major). Brief: CSUN closes campus following possible threat of firearm – Daily Sundial

June 13, 2023 The CSUN Department of Police Services released an announcement Friday afternoon on the Facebook and notifying students, faculty and staff about a potential threat of a firearm on campus. CSUN released a notification on their Twitter and Facebook page on June 9 advising those on campus about the potential threat. Staff and faculty were also notified about the threat via email. In the announcement banner, CSUN advised anyone on campus to either leave the area immediately or to shelter in place. While CSUN police services noted that the threat was not verified, they advised the public to stay away from campus until further notice. At 4:55 p.m. on Friday, an update was posted on the The Student Recreation Center at CSUN released a notification on the SRC app on Friday evening stating that they would be closed early. The Student Recreation Center also notified students via the CSUN SRC app that they would be closed early Friday evening. No further details have been released.

The new CSUN Portal incorporates new technologies and the same modern design of the new campus web site. The CSUN Portal uses the same technology that powers CSUN's Phase 1 includes launching the new CSUN Portal design, including content most students use frequently. This will allow users to do most of the things they are used to doing in the myNorthridge Portal. The myNorthridge Portal will still be accessible through the fall semester to ensure that all functionality remains available. CSUN Portal Intro Video How Do I Access the CSUN Portal?
