15th President of India: Droupadi Murmu is set to become the 15th President of India. She will be the first tribal woman president of India, succeeding incumbent President Ram Nath Kovind. She was declared as the next President-elect after she won 50 percent of the total value of valid votes at the end of third round of counting. About President Draupadi Murmu is the second woman to hold the office of president in India's history and the country's first tribal president. She was the first female governor of Jharkhand. She was also the first tribal leader from Odisha to be appointed governor of an Indian state and to hold the position for the entire term. President of India is referred to as the first citizen of India. An electoral college made up of elected members of the Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha, and Vidhan Sabha chooses the president of India.
