Donyi Polo Airport at Hollongi also known as Hollongi Airport or Itanagar Airport is the biggest airport in Arunachal Pradesh. The Airport is situated at Hollongi, a distance of 25 km from the capital city of Arunachal Pradesh, The International Air Transport Association( IATA) code of Donyi Polo Airport is HGI and its International Civil Aviation Organization ( ICAO) code is VEHO. The Airport Authority of India built the Airport in collaboration with the state government and central government, covering an area of 320 hectares. The Airport has a 2300-meter-long runway, a 5100 square meters beautiful terminal building to handle up to 200-300 passengers at maximum during its peak hours, and an air traffic control (ATC)tower. After the detailed project report (DPR) of the Airport prepared by AAI and the laying of the project’s foundation stone in 2019 by Prime Minister The Airport was inaugurated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 19 th November 2022 at Hollongi, Arunachal Pradesh.
