Doraemon is a Japanese anime television series based on the manga series of the same name written and illustrated by Fujiko F. Fujio. The series premiered on TV Asahi on April 15, 2005, and has been on the air for over 15 years with more than 750 episodes. The show centers around a robotic cat named Doraemon, who travels back in time from the 22nd century to help a young boy named Nobita Nobi. Set in a fictional suburb of Tokyo, Doraemon begins with Nobita struggling in school, often getting into trouble with his teachers and classmates. He also faces problems at home, where his strict mom and mischievous younger sister give him a hard time. Nobita is a dreamer who wishes he had a better life - this is where Doraemon comes in to help. Doraemon is sent back in time by Nobita's great great grandson Sewashi, to be his companion and mentor. Doraemon is a robotic cat from the future, sent to help Nobita through his problems with his vast array of futuristic gadgets including a "Anywhere Door," a "Time Machine," a "Memory Bread," and many others. With Doraemon's help, Nobita is able to overcome his difficulties, gain confidence, and become a better student and friend. The cast of Doraemon includes Wasabi Mizuta as Doraemon; Megumi Ohara as Nobita; Yumi Kakazu as Shizuka, Nobita's best friend and love interest; Tomokazu Seki as Suneo, Nobita`s classmate and snobbish rival; and Subaru Kimura as Gian, Nobita's bully and fearsome enemy, but also his closest friend. Then Suneo invites them to play Dodgeball, but when they get to the place they usually play gets turned into a place to put materials. Then Doraemon takes out a camera which can make miniature versions of buildings. They successfully make Nobita Land and invited their friends to play, but it gets destroyed by Nobita's Mother in the end. He goes upstairs and finds a box of Transformation Biscuits. He eats a cat shaped one and then takes the box to the visitor, who eats four of the biscuits. Then his mother reminds him to buy the desserts. He then goes to buy desserts and to his shock, turns into a cat for five minutes.
