There are two type of accommodation at swargarohini cottages kedarnath - 1- family room - it has four beded attatch bath room suit, hot water gyser,wc ,27x7 running water, hot air blower and ele. Cattle. 2- Dormitory - it has eight beded share accommodation withattatch bath room suit, hot water gyser,wc ,27x7 running water. Stayed at Swargarohini Bunk Bedded accomodation for 1 night during Kedarnath visit in Aug 2022. Out of the many GMVN facilities in & on the trek to Kedarnath, this is the closest to the temple, just 500 meters away & adjacent to the Helipad. Though GMVN has done a commendable job by creating these facilities for Yatris, they are poorly maintained & need to be renovated / refurbished for a comfortable stay. The Shared Accommodation has 8 bedded dormitories, 4 beds in each room that share the bathroom/toilet facility. Staff is adamant about allocating the beds i.e. though both of us were in our 50's, they insisted on taking one lower bed & one upper bed though the entire cottage was empty ( & later during our stay, only one guest was allocated ). Beds are fairly comfortable with good blankets & clean linen etc. Geysers are installed but as electricity supply is erratic, getting hot water is generally an issue. Bathroom cleanliness has to improve, sanitary fittings too need replacement.
