NEW DELHI: Delhi University's cell for implementing the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 has proposed increasing the weightage assigned to internal assessments and splitting this segment into different components such as lectures and tutorials. By India Today Web Desk: In a recent notice issued by the Delhi University (DU), the varsity has made it clear that it has no plans of reopening the colleges and conducted regular classes for the students anytime soon. The notice has announced that online classes will be conducted for the time being. The notice released by DU hints that the colleges will not be reopened this year at all and the semester will be completed online. The notice also states the procedures for the semester exams and internal assessment to be conducted this term. The notice issued by DU states that the pattern of internal assessment has been changed for this semester. Instead of three existing components of internal assessment such as class test, tutorial test, and attendance, only one component would be defined as an internal assessment and would be carried out. The notice further states that in DU’s School of Open Learning (SOL), this formal for the internal assessment will not be followed. The notice also clearly mentions that the classes are supposed to be conducted online now.
