THE DUNE ECO BEACH VILLAGE AND SPA $63 ($̶1̶4̶0̶)

I have booked bamboo house 1 and 2 for my family for two nights from 12th to. 14th august. I checked in on 12 @ 5.00. I had lot of expectations on your group. But when I saw the interiors of the room and lot of insects inside I was very much disappointed. Your manager told me that it Is a concept cottage it is like that only. Ok I kept quite blaming myself for booking this property. actual problem starts at night. When rain lashed after 11 at night. We were sleeping then. Suddenly some water fell on me I wakeup and horrified to see that "pouring of water" inside the cottage through roof, please Note that is not leakage. Floor is full of standing water. We all took a shelter at a corner whole night fearing of water, insects etc., and spent a sleepless night. In the morning I… As a customer, the global feeling on the resort is : "Get maximum money from the customer with minimum added value" which is irritating at the highest point. Employees are left on their own and no one is ready to take its responsibility in case of problem. The potential and environment of the resort is excellent but the lack of proper management leads to unacceptable discomforts during our stay which have spoiled everything. Only imported beverage available (high price) whereas local beverage (reasonable price) was surprisingly out of stock... Roof leakage in 2 rooms ...

Pondy Beyond The French Town! Through The Lens Of A Sandy Eco Village – Highwaymybeckoning

Little did I know that there can be a place, a quarter, a micro village so quietly tucked away amidst the chaos of a very thickly populated Pondy (Pondicherry/Puducherry) as we call it? My travels and musings are direct from the realm of my experience of the place, something very personal, something that is mine. I love stories and stories told by the “people of the place” and my immediate storyteller here was the blade of grass, the kingfisher that flew past me, the toad that jumped over the rumbles of my footsteps. What if I told you, there was a guy from far away land who made Auroville his abode to find his inner self, stayed on to build a little village, with materials that were sourced from the surroundings, that blended with Nature and that was echoing the very culture of the place? 40 acres and 61 individual nests…. The ravages of the 2004 Tsunami did not stop him…. he rebuilt and planted saplings and grew his vegetables. Appointed some of the best sustainability standards, drawn from best practices around the world, that he acquired through his myriad travels. Welcome to Dune Eco Village, the dream of Dimitri Klein. A Guy who took away a piece of my imagination. I explored the Village on Foot, on a sunny afternoon… The winds from the sea engulfed me, little did the heat of the East Coast become a hurdle. The Ecovillage is a microcosm of Puducherry, yet apart, yet aloof. It would be apt to call it an epitome of alternative and sustainable stay options. From the hus...
