The minister said that there were many opinions for and against NEP. He also highlighted the statement given by the education adviser to the government Dr MR Doreswamy, who appealed to the government not to repeal NEP as it has good initiatives and focused on skill development. “We will definitely take into consideration all opinions while taking the decision. The decision on its implementation will be taken by the chief minister and deputy chief minister,” he said after a review meeting with vice-chancellors of universities across the state. The vice-chancellors seized the opportunity to voice out their problems under the last government, including the implementation of the Unified University and College Management System (UUCMS). Sudhakar said their problems like staff recruitment, distribution of marks cards and scholarship dissemination are also being considered. Regarding UUCMS, he said that the vice-chancellors urged that the process of using the portal be made easier as there are several glitches. "The Chief Minister is personally interested in this, it was also clearly mentioned in our manifesto -- of which I was the vice president -- that we will revise the textbook in the interest of the students. The same thing will stand. As we are implementing the guarantees, in the same way in my department we will fulfill what he had said," Bangarappa said. Speaking to reporters here, he said, "There are reports in the media that we may not revise this year as the textbooks have already reached the students. No, we will do it this year by introducing whatever is necessary as a supplementary. There is such a system and it has been done several times in the past. We have already begun the work in this regard." It is also being ensured that there is no burden on the students because of this, he said adding that "It is still the initial days of the academic year, and as students wouldn't have entered the textbook curriculum yet, this is the time we have to do whatever we have to, of course, those chapters (to be omitted) will be there in the textbooks, but teachers will be directed what to teach and what not to." Karnataka Examination Authority will declare the Karnataka CET Result 2023 on June 15 at 11 am. Candidates who have appeared for Karnataka Common Entrance Test will be able to check the results through the official site of KEA at kea.kar.nic.in, once the result is out. S Ramya, ED, KEA has said in a press release on Wednesday that the Minister for Higher Education, Dr MC Sudhakar will release the results in the KEA office at 9.30 am on June 15. According to the release, the results will be made available on the KEA website after 11.00 am. • Visit the official site of KEA at kea.kar.nic.in. • Click on KCET Result 2023 link available on the home page. • Enter the login details and click on submit. • Your result will be displayed on the screen. • Download the page and keep a hard copy of the same for further need.
