What to do if you have lost your Galaxy device

If you lost your Galaxy phone, tablet, watch, or earbuds, you don’t need to worry. The SmartThings Find feature allows you to lock or unlock, locate, or completely wipe your data. Even your Samsung Wallet payment information can be locked or erased, and all of this can be done remotely. There are also similar services available for your watch and earbuds within the Galaxy Wearable app. Note: Available screens and settings may vary by wireless service provider, software version, and model. These services can only locate your device if it is powered on. The SmartThings Find feature in the SmartThings app will help you locate your missing devices, like your phone, tablet, earbuds, and watch. SmartThings Find will scan for your devices and even show you a map with detailed information, including addresses and timestamps. You can also share device information with other Galaxy phone users so a friend can locate a device for you. Find My iPhone: If you misplace your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac, the Find My iPhone app will let you use any iOS device to find it and protect your data. Simply install this free app, open it, and sign in with the Apple ID you use for iCloud. Find My iPhone will help you locate your missing device on a map, remotely lock it, play a sound, display a message, or erase all the data on it. For missing iOS devices, Find My iPhone also includes Lost Mode. Lost Mode locks your device with a passcode and can display a custom message and contact phone number right on the Lock Screen. Find, lock, or erase a lost Android device

If you lose an Android phone or tablet, or Wear OS watch, you can find, lock, or erase it. If you've added a Google Account to your device, Find My Device is automatically turned on. If you allow Find My Device to encrypt your phone's most recent location and store it with Google, your device’s most recent location is available to the first account activated on the device. Tip: To find, lock, or erase your Wear OS device, connect it to WiFi or mobile data.
