Grand Valley State 2022 recruiting class includes 11 offensive linemen

“We felt this was an outstanding year for offensive linemen and we took advantage of that in terms of numbers with 11,” Mitchell said. “In addition, we want to build a competitive situation at every position that will allow us to have great competition for playing time. It is also essential that we find the right fit in the classroom and socially and we are extremely proud of our student-athletes academic success rating, which is among the leaders in both the GLIAC and NCAA.” “We went into the recruiting process with a little different approach because of the unknown in terms of the COVID year that will remain on our roster for a couple of more years,” Mitchell said in a statement. “As the class was coming together, we were in on a number of kids that had DI interest and we were able to secure those commitments and sign them. We are going after kids that really want to be a part of our program and fit into our culture.” Name Position Height Weight Hometown/High School DJ Arnold DB 5-10 170 Grandville Noah Bauman DL 6-3 296 Ottawa Lake/Ottawa Lake-Whiteford Antwan Blackshear DL 6-2 315 Trotwood, Ohio/Trotwood-Madison Aveyon Bullock OL 6-6 295 Kalamazoo Central Jeff Burton OL 6-3 320 Dearborn/Ford Jaylin Caldwell OL 6-6 290 Chicago/Phillips Academy Cross Dobbs LB 6-1 215 Burton/Grand Blanc Matt Haan OL 6-3 280 Park Heights, Ill/Chicago Christian Jason Hardy DB 6-1 170 Detroit/Loyola Bry'Shaun Haskin WR 6-2 170 Madison Heights, Ohio/Maple Heights Ben Ireland WR 5-11 177 Findl...

Grand Valley State University Reviews

"Grand Valley has a little bit of everything. If you like living in a more rural area you can live in Allendale. If you want to live in the city you can live in Grand Rapids. There is also Lake Michigan rather close to the school as well as Cannonsburg ski area and Bittersweet ski area in the winter. Social life and partying is pretty minimal on weekdays but if your looking to party you usually can on the weekends. Sports are some of the best in D2. The dorms are really nice and the food is pretty good for a college campus. Freshman year is usually the hardest. But, it gets so much better when you move into the apartments, make a variety of friends, and join different clubs/organizations. GVSU doesn’t do a great job funding clubs, unfortunately (reason for -1 star).Biggest advice for freshman is go to campus life night and join different groups/organizations. It took me a while to find one that suit me best but I ended up making so many friends through Ski and Snowboard team." "Overall, the Criminal Justice Program at Grand Valley State University prepares you for a diverse range of post-college options. No matter what you are interested in, there is a faculty member who can share their unique experiences and act as a mentor to help you reach your goals. Whether you are looking into policing, corrections, victim advocacy, federal enforcement, environmental protection, legal studies, or continuing on to graduate school, there is someone there to help you. Small class sizes ...
