Gujarat Home Minister Harsh Sanghavi thanked the NDRF personnel for the rescue effort and said the administration worked all night. "Some people are injured in Dwarka and some of them are being treated. All of them are safe. Light poles have been damaged severely," he said. The NDRF on Friday released an official statement confirming that cyclone Biparjoy has so far injured 23 people, killed 24 animals and 2 humans, before it made landfall in Gujarat.
