How would the animals be effected if the vegetation in the pond died?

Well, for starters, the dead vegetation would be broken down by microbes into smaller particles which would float to the surface of the pond. This would allow all of the vegetarian organisms to rise near the surface for easy feeding, because all of the plant matter would be concentrated in one place. This would also benefit the carnivorous organisms who could eat the herbivorous organisms that flock to the surface. Unfortunately, this could be deadly for any man or woman who sets foot in the pond, as the carnivorous animals would become agitated by the the swimmers/waders and likely attack and devour them. This is why many people dump toxic chemicals in lakes - it is a safe way to kill everything in the pond, including the fish, so that when the plants die, people will not be eaten alive by them.

What Happens To The Insecticides And Herbivores That We Put On Our Lawns?

38. Question: What will happen to the insecticides and herbivores that we put in our lawns. Well I believe your question is about what will happen to the herbivores if we put insecticide to our lawn. Well they will be poisoned or worst die. Insecticides are usually made to get rid of the insects and pests that eats our flowers, vegetables and other plants in our lawn. Now, if an insect was able to get a plant with insecticides, it will be poisoned then sooner or later die. The correct answer is E. Transformation is change in genetic composition of a cell that results from a direct uptake, incorporation and expression of exogenous (external) genetic material namely DNA from its surroundings by the cell through its cell membrane. In some species of bacteria, transformation takes place naturally but it can also be induced using artificial means in other species. For transformation to happen , the bacteria must be in state of competence. This is a state of being able to take up exogenous DNA from the environment. A pattern of inheritance responsible for a wide range of phenotypes that result from individual organisms having many different gene pairs controlling a single trait is b. polygenic traits. A polygenic trait is a pattern of inheritance where a single trait is influenced by many genes. Some examples of this pattern of inheritance are human skin color, height, and weight. ALL VEGETATION DEAD

Hi folks. I have a question to ask for my neighbor. He has had a small well water fed pond ( 25'-30' in diameter ), for over 30 yrs., and all of a sudden this year, ALL the vegetation has died, as has all twelve of the Koi he had in there. I told him i'd try to find out what the heck had happened, and hope someone might have an answer. It isn't very deep, maybe waist high at the deepest, so you can clearly see the bottom. It looks like someone put a giant vacuum cleaner in there, and sucked every living thing up? It's not about the fish. It's about the pond. Take care of the pond and the fish will be fine. PB subscriber since before it was in color. Without a sense of urgency, Nothing ever gets done. Boy, if I say "sic em", you'd better look for something to bite. Sam Shelley Rancher and Farmer Muleshoe Texas 1892-1985 RIP Will do my friend, but after reading a few posts on here, i'm beginning to think that maybe it's something about the water. Too much of this mineral, or not enough of that mineral? I suggested he test his PH/Salinity, not only right out of the pond, but also testing the well water that is always flowing into the pond. Good suggestion, or not? PS: Thanks for the "Welcome" You can't go wrong with knowing the water quality of the pond and the source, so that's certainly a good suggestion. I would not forget about the crawdads, however. When I bought my place it had a silted in 100 x 170 foot pond that was only 2 foot deep...no vegetation what's so ever. Lon...

GrassCarp died :

Scott we need a little more info like Bill says? How many did you have? Or do you have? Just one? I have a 1 acre pond also and I have been told anywhere from 6 to 12 depending how bad your weed issue is. I put 5 in my pond. I only ever see 4 so one may have died early on. They control my Chara and pondweed to some extent. They really like the pond weed. The chara well not so much but they will eat it. Keep in mind though I have 60 plus percent coverage of chara in my pond. If and when I start over with them I will use 6. Mine are getting close to being not very effective anymore so it won't be long I suppose next year and time to R and R the GC. Above is just what I am doing that's not to say what you need to do. We need more info on your pond and weed coverage and type of weeds? All that makes a difference. RC Thanks for the quick responses gents. To the best of my knowledge, I've got a decent amount of "baby" Pondweed and or "bushy" pond weed around the perimeter of my pond. Its hard for me to tell the difference. I do have cattails on about 40%-50% of the perimeter as well. No Hyrdrilla or coon tail or anything else for that matter that I can see. Bass size; Largest are 1 1/2 lb to 2 lbs. From what I could tell, I only seen 1 in there. So I believe that was all I had. The others died off. You should be celebrating wish my 250 would all die. What was the thought process behind stocking 250? (and how much would that cost someone these days????) I'm curious how the recomm...
