Excelsior Correspondent JAMMU, Aug 26: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has developed a nation-wide 36-hour (6 days) Professional Development Programme (NEP-PDP) for implementation of National Education Policy (NEP). This was revealed by Dr Sandeep Gupta, IGNOU Regional Director In-charge, Regional Centre Jammu while addressing a press conference, here today. He said the programme is equivalent to UGC-HRDC short term PDP and can be completed in a maximum of nine days. For NEP-PDP, registration shall take place on the SAMARTH online platform through the link https://ignou-nep-pdp.samarth.ac.in/ and the programme delivery shall take place on the SWAYAM platform by the IGNOU Headquarters. “The registration for the programme is open and teachers of higher education can register for any suitable batch by uploading Institution I/Card or letter from the Head of Institution. Any teacher of any Higher Education Institute in India can register and participate in the Professional Development Programme on NEP-2020. He added that the certification on successful completion of the programme shall also be equally useful for purposes of API, CAS and any other career advancement requirements specified by UGC. UGC Approved Professional Development Programme on NEP-2020 14 August, 2022 Indira Gandhi National Open University has developed a Professional Development Programme (NEP-PDP) to orient the higher education teachers on Implementation of NEP-2020 in collaboration with UGC. This is a Nation-wide 6 Days (36 Hours) Professional Development Programme meant for university and college teachers duly approved by University Grants Commission as equivalent to UGC-HRDC Short term PDP. This Programme can be completed in a minimum period of 6 days and a maximum 9 days. This Programme is an Online PDP through LMS and the registration will be through Samarth Platform through the IGNOU Regional Centre. The Programme will be delivered through LMS controlled by IGNOU Headquarters.
