IND vs NZ Highlights: New Zealand beat India by 21 runs, take 1

T20 MATCH LIVE UPDATES IND vs NZ Highlights: New Zealand beat India by 21 runs, take 1-0 series lead India vs New Zealand 1st T20: Devon Conway and Daryl Mitchell conjured up fluent and fiery half-centuries before the spinners choked the hosts as New Zealand outplayed India by 21 runs in the opening T20I to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series on Friday. Read Less Washington Sundar scored a fighting maiden T20I fifty but could not stop hosts India from suffering a 21-run defeat against New Zealand at JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi on Friday. With the victory, New Zealand took a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. Chasing a competitive 177-run target, Sundar scored a quick 50, off 28 balls, but failed to take India home as New Zealand bowlers led by Mitchell Santner (2/11) and Michael Bracewell (2/31) restricted the hosts to 155 for 9 in their 20 overs in the end. It is nice to contribute to a score which helps us win a game. I thought the way the boys bowled at the end was pretty special. It is nice to take some momentum into the rest of the T20 series. The guys who went in early said it was pretty difficult against spin because of the tacky nature. It was my job to build a partnership and take the onus on myself after Conway's departure. Playe of the Match: Daryl Mitchell (59* off 30; 5x6s, 3x4s) It was a bit of a shock for everyone involved, how much it kinda spun in the second innings. But it was a great game and it was pretty tight at the end. We saw...

India vs New Zealand (IND vs NZ) 3rd T20I Live Streaming: When and where to watch match live?

India vs New Zealand (IND vs NZ) 3rd T20I: India’s young top order will be under pressure to deliver in the series-deciding third T20 International against New Zealand here on Wednesday. It would be fair to say the trio of Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan and Rahul Tripathi has not made their opportunities count in the absence of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and K L Rahul. After the game on Wednesday, India don’t play a T20I for a long time, leaving the younger crop to make a statement before the focus shifts to the five-day format. Kishan has not been able to find rhythm in his batting since his double hundred in Bangladesh while the turning ball has troubled Gill, who has not been able to replicate his ODI form in the shortest format. Tripathi, too, has wasted chances that have come his way in the absence of regular number three Kohli. If it hadn’t been for Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya, India would have struggled to chase down 100 on Sunday. The surfaces in the series have attracted a lot of attention and it remains to be seen if the players get to negotiate another turning track at the IND vs NZ 3rd T20I Live Streaming Details: When will India vs New Zealand (IND vs NZ) 3rd T20I be played? Full, angling into the stumps, and Kishan times this pick-up shot beautifully, but ends up hitting it more or less straight to Mitchell at deep square leg. Only had to move a couple of yards to his left and let it fall into his lap. I think India will be okay with this. Feels like Kishan was sent out with the clear mandate to go hard from the start, and he did attempt it, even if the scorecard won't necessarily reflect it. 11/1 18.1 toHH Pandya, straight to long-off! Boult missed his mark last ball of his last over - this is the ball he was trying to bowl. Offcutter, good length and cutting away from middle and off. Pandya manages to make room but that grips and is going to get big on him on this pitch. He punches it firmly on the rise but the trajectory on that means it would never have gone the distance. But both lost their first game against Pakistan, who now look certain to take one of the two top spots in Group 2 and reach the semi-finals. That leaves just one place to play for — and makes this match something of a decider for who takes it. Sure, there's still plenty of games to come in Group 2, which is lagging well behind Group 1 in terms of fixtures played, but it does contain a couple of weaker sides in the form of Namibia and Scotland. It's fair to assume that both India and New Zealand will triumph in those games, although their other fixture, against Afghanistan, may be tougher — particularly as the Afghans have just beaten Namibia in their latest game. Still, today's match could go a long way to deciding who finishes second behind Pakistan. With that in mind, they've made a couple of changes for this game, with Shardul Thakur coming in for Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Ishan Kishan also starting. One bit of good news is that Hardik Pandya has been marking out his run up, implying that he's recovered from injury enough to be able to bowl as well as bat. For New Zealand, Adam Milne has now replaced the injured Lockie Ferguson in the squad and comes into the starting line-up in place of Tim Seif...
