‘Selections from The Radical Humanist’ Volume II contains selected articles out of those published in the magazine from 2006 to 2018. The selection consists articles by all-time greats like M.N. Roy, Justice V.M. Tarkunde, Prof. Sib Narayan Ray and others on democratic freedoms, radical humanism, human rights, and emancipation of the downtrodden including those belonging to the minority communities and women and children. These articles also uphold democratic values like secularism, freedom of the press and electoral reforms and denounce the divisive forces of communalism. They also contain articles on current political and economic situation in the country. The title of this study was “Leadership in Political Movements: Comparative Study of Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah and Sheikh Mujibur Rahman”. The author has conducted this study as part of his MA degree from the University of Kashmir in 2016. Later on, the author translated this paper into Bengali. The Bengali version of this paper is titled as “Bangabandhu and Sher-E-Kashmir” and that has been published from Dhaka by the publication house Oitijya in February 2020 [cover page shown above]. For the best benefit of knowledge, the actual English version is now uploaded in academia. Everyone presented here knows the reason to get together in such a big crowd. Independence day is celebrated every year on 15 th August, we all celebrate this day with great joy and enthusiasm every year. First, we hoist our national flag then give a salute and sing the national anthem song. History of India Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru had given a speech on Independence day in New Delhi, just after India got freedom.
