Indore DM Manish Singh said that more than 40 passengers were travelling on the bus. He said locals told him that the bus was speeding and while overtaking, the bus lost its balance and fell into the gorge. Till now, the bodies of 5 people brought to the hospital and one died in the hospital, he added.

Indore Bus accident: മധ്യപ്രദേശിലെ (Madhya Pradesh) ഖാര്‍ഗോണില്‍ ബസ് (Bus) പാലത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് വീണ് 14 പേര്‍ മരണപ്പെട്ടു. 20 ഓളം പേര്‍ക്ക് പരിക്കേറ്റു. അപകടസമയത്ത് ബസില്‍ 50 ലധികം യാത്രക്കാര്‍ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നതായാണ് വിവരം. ഇന്‍ഡോറിലേക്ക് പോവുകയായിരുന്ന ബസ് പാലത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് തെന്നി താഴേക്ക് വീഴുകയായിരുന്നു. ഉടന്‍ തന്നെ നാട്ടുകാര്‍ രക്ഷാപ്രവര്‍ത്തനം നടത്തുകയും അപകടത്തില്‍ പരിക്കേറ്റവരെ അടുത്തുള്ള ആശുപത്രിയിലേക്ക് മാറ്റുകയും ചെയ്തു. കളക്ടര്‍ ശിവരാജ് സിംഗ് വര്‍മയും അപകടസ്ഥലത്തെത്തി. അപകടത്തില്‍ മരണപ്പെട്ടവരുടെ കുടുംബാംഗങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് മധ്യപ്രദേശ് സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ നാല് ലക്ഷം രൂപ ധനസഹായം പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു. ഗുരുതരമായി പരിക്കേറ്റവര്‍ക്ക് 50,000 രൂപയും പരിക്കേറ്റവര്‍ക്ക് 25,000 രൂപ ധനസഹായവും പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഞായറാഴ്ച, ബ്രിഹന്‍മുംബൈ ഇലക്ട്രിക് സപ്ലൈ ആന്‍ഡ് ട്രാന്‍സ്പോര്‍ട്ട് ബസ് മുംബൈ അന്ധേരിയിലെ ഒരു കടയിലേക്ക് ഇടിച്ചുകയറി അപകടമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അന്ധേരിയിലെ മഹാകാളി റോഡിലാണ് അപകടം നടന്നതെന്ന് ട്രാന്‍സ്‌പോര്‍ട്ട് ബോഡി വക്താവ് വാര്‍ത്താ ഏജന്‍സിയായ പിടിഐയോട് പറഞ്ഞു. അന്ധേരി സ്റ്റേഷനിലേക്ക് പോവുകയായിരുന്ന ബസ് നിയന്ത്രണം നഷ്ടമായി കടയിലേക്ക് ഇടിച്ചുകയറുകയായിരുന്നു. സംഭവത്തില്‍ ആളപായമൊന്നും റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട് ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ലെങ്കിലും കടയ്ക്ക് കേടുപാടുകള്‍ സംഭവിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഡ്രൈവര്‍ക്കെതിരെ കേസെടുത്തതായി ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.
