Apple iPad 2023 Review

• Share to Facebook • Share to Twitter • Share to Linkedin It’s hard to believe we’ve hit the tenth generation of the entry-level Apple iPad. The 2022 iteration gets its biggest update of recent years—and a $120 price hike. Think of it as an all-singing, all-dancing iPad with a new design, upgraded processor and much bigger screen, starting at $449. The new iPad resembles the noticeably pricier iPad Air in many respects, with the same display size, a similar design, USB Type-C connectivity instead of Lightning, Touch ID in the power button and thinner bezels. It also has a much faster processor than the ninth-generation model, though both are outgunned by the iPad Air, iPad mini and iPad Pro. There are now six distinct iPads to choose among. Contributor Apple iPad (10th Generation): Technical Specifications Price From $449 | Rear Camera: 12 megapixels | Front camera 12 megapixels (landscape) | Processor Apple A14 Bionic | Display 10.9-inch | Resolution: 1,640 x 2,360, 264 pixels per inch | Storage: 64GB | Battery: Up to 10 hours | Dimensions: 9.8 x 7.1 x 0.3 inches | Weight 1.1 pounds Best for • Larger display • Touch ID in power button • Fast performance Skip because • Price increase • Awkward, older Pencil implementation • Display lacks laminated finish Apple iPad Design: Big Screen, Updated Connector What we have here is the biggest design change to the iPad in years—perhaps ever. For the very first time, the iPad has a nearly full-screen display. The Touch ID button, a...

Apple introduces the most powerful and versatile iPad Air ever

“Whether it’s a college student taking elaborate notes, a content creator working on their latest project, or a gamer playing graphics-intensive titles, users love iPad Air for its amazing performance and versatility in such a portable design,” said Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing. “With the breakthrough M1 chip, Ultra Wide front camera with Center Stage, and ultra-fast 5G, iPad Air is now more powerful, more capable, and simply more fun than ever.” The breakthrough M1 chip in iPad Air delivers a giant performance boost to even the most demanding apps and workflows, with incredible power efficiency and all-day battery life. 1 The 8-core CPU delivers up to 60 percent faster performance, and the 8-core GPU delivers up to 2x faster graphics performance compared to the previous iPad Air. Combined with the CPU and GPU, a 16-core Neural Engine powers advanced machine learning (ML) functions that enable next-level experiences. From editing multiple streams of 4K video, to playing graphics-intensive games, redesigning a room in 3D, and more realistic augmented reality (AR), the performance of M1 enables users to do more than ever with iPad Air. The Ultra Wide 12MP front camera with Center Stage automatically pans to keep users in view as they move around. When others join in, the camera detects them too, and smoothly zooms out to include them in the conversation. So whether catching up with loved ones or learning remotely, Center Stage makes conn...

iPad (2022) review: Apple's 10th

The iPad (2022) refreshes the standard iPad to the current design we've seen grace the iPad Air and iPad Pro for a few years, and for the most part, the change is fantastic. The screen is larger, the cameras are better, the processor faster, and it's the best the base iPad has ever been. But its debut is slightly marred by some baffling design decisions -- and a price that throws the entire iPad lineup into chaos. The iPad is an icon, the most popular tablet in the world and a product with a long history of success for Apple. While the company added new models along the way — like the mini and Air — the standard iPad remained stalwart in its position as the familiar, reliable, barebones Apple tablet experience. For its tenth iteration, Apple has tried to make somewhat of a second coming for the iPad. The base iPad no longer has to hide in the shadow of its contemporaries but instead has a chance to shine all on its own. The iPad (2022) is a welcome change from the stagnant design of the iPad for the past decade, but that change comes with growing pains for both old and new users alike. A new price point that makes it sit awkwardly in the middle of two other iPads and some confusing design choices by Apple does sour the otherwise triumph reimagining of the iPad. The new 10th-gen iPad now starts at $449 for only 64GB of storage, although you can pay an additional $150 for the 256GB model. The tablet is available in four colors: silver, pink, yellow, and blue, and it's compat...

The iPad (2022) is official: release date, price, features and specs

The iPad is Apple's entry-level tablet that sits below more premium options like the We haven't gotten our hands on an iPad (2022) just yet, so you'll have to stay tuned for our full review of this latest model, but Apple has not been shy about revealing tons of information about what's coming with the all-new iPad (2022)... (Image credit: Apple) The iPad (2022) starts at £499 / $449 / AU$749, which is considerably higher in all territories than the launch price of the iPad (2021) –£319 / $329 / AU$499. For an entry-level tablet, this year's iPad is getting a bit less entry-level as it ups the price across the globe. As with the iPad Pro's price, the UK and Australia are seeing a large price increase, while those in the US are seeing a less substantial but still meaningful increase. While prices are rising, it is important to note that the iPad (2022) does have a bunch of new features and upgrades over the iPad (2021), and global inflation and the ongoing chip shortage are surely contributing to higher prices too. iPad (2022) design (Image credit: Apple) Rumours about a major design refresh on the iPad have come true: the iPad (2022) will be sporting a new look. The biggest changes to the design of the iPad include a screen size bump from 10.2 inches to 10.9 inches alongside some slimmer bezels and a variety of new, vibrant colour finishes, including bright blue, pink and yellow. There's no Home button to be found on the iPad (2022), but you will get Touch ID functionality...
