An eSIM is a digital SIM that eliminates the need for a physical SIM card. With eSIM, you can quickly and easily transfer an existing cellular plan or get a new cellular plan, all digitally. You can even store multiple eSIMs on the same device and use two phone numbers at the same time. And it’s more secure - someone can’t remove the physical SIM card if your iPhone is lost or stolen. In just a few simple steps, you are ready to make calls, send messages, and browse the web. * Use of eSIM requires a wireless service plan. Not all carriers support eSIM. Use of eSIM in iPhone may be disabled when purchased from some carriers. Check with your carrier for details and restrictions. • Will my new iPhone be unlocked? Carrier-connected iPhoneSE, iPhone12, iPhone13, iPhone13 mini, iPhone14 and iPhone14 Pro models will arrive ready to activate with eSIM and can connect to your cellular voice and data service without a physical SIM card. If you completed the steps to authorize activation with AT&T, T-Mobile, or Verizon when you purchased your new iPhone online, it will arrive ready to use. Just turn it on and follow the onscreen instructions to set it up and activate with the carrier. To activate with eSIM, you will need Wi-Fi for setup. If you choose "Connect to a carrier later" when you buy your iPhone, you can activate with your service when you receive your device. If you're asked to transfer your SIM, follow the onscreen instructions to transfer service from your previous iPhone...

Like • Main camera upgrade is great • Autofocus makes selfies look better • Improved repairability is welcomed • Action mode is smooth Don't like • Ultrawide photos are a step down in image quality • Year-over-year upgrades are minimal • Videos recorded in low light look just OK The iPhone 14 is both an improvement on last year's iPhone 13 and one of the most minimal year-over-year upgrades in Apple's history. On the outside, the 14 inherits the iPhone 13's tried and true flat-sided aluminum design. On the inside, Apple essentially repackaged the iPhone 13 Pro, sans the telephoto camera and high-refresh-rate screen. The result is lovely and ...

Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max Review

Hands On With the Apple iPhone 14 Pro Lineup The phone measures 6.33 by 3.05 by 0.31 inches (HWD) and weighs 8.47 ounces—dimensions that are within fractions of a millimeter and just 0.01 ounces changed from last year's model. That makes it a large and heavy device, but Pro Max buyers should be well used to these dimensions and weight by now. It's about on par with the While the design isn't particularly exciting, Apple continues to lead the market with materials and build quality. The iPhone 14 Pro Max features a stainless steel frame (as opposed to the standard iPhone 14's aluminum) and is protected with the company's own Ceramic Shield. Apple says its Shield is stronger than competing glass, but that's not something we can test in a practical manner. Phones from Google and Samsung ship with Gorilla Glass Victus or Victus+, which is the top-of-the-line material from Corning. The iPhone 14 Pro Max has the same (Credit: Eric Zeman) The phone has the same flat side edges as the last two Pro Max models, with controls scattered around the frame. Flat-edged phones are less comfortable to hold than those with rounded frames, and that is certainly true of the iPhone 14 Pro Max—but dang that stainless steel feels good. The left side houses the ringer switch and separate volume toggles, while a combined power/screen lock button graces the right edge. The switch and buttons have superb travel and feedback. Apple's decade-old Lightning port is centered on the bottom edge of the phon...

iPhone 14 vs iPhone 14 Pro features

The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro represent Apple’s latest and greatest devices. The decision between choosing an iPhone 14 model, however, can be tricky. The iPhone 14 Pro is obviously more powerful and capable, but you also have to factor in differences like pricing, battery life, and overall weight. Head below for a deep dive into the iPhone 14 vs iPhone 14 Pro. Table of contents • • • • • • • • • • • • • iPhone 14 vs iPhone 14 Pro: Screen sizes For the first year ever, both the standard iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Pro are available in the same screen sizes. Regardless of which family you pick, you have your choice between a 6.1-inch or 6.7-inch screen. This is a major difference compared to the past two years, when the top-tier “Pro Max” was the only choice for those who wanted the largest 6.7-inch screen. But with that in mind, there are some big differences in terms of the screen technology and features. Namely, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max offer ProMotion display technology for smoother animations, the new Digital Island that replaces the notch, and the first-ever Always-On display. The iPhone 14 Pro’s Always-On display enables the screen to show you your lock screen widgets, the time, and your wallpaper at all times. This is the first time Apple has ever implemented an Always-On display for the iPhone. Meanwhile, the Digital Island While those are the bigger differences between the displays, there are some other technical details as well. Here’s the full b...

Apple's new iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus may look similar to last year's iPhone 13 line, but there are a lot of new changes on the inside. The iPhone 14 line includes new sensors for car-crash detection, a photo processing method called Photonic Engine, the removal of the physical SIM card slot for US phones and improvements to both the rear and front-facing cameras. The most notable swap, however, are the phone line's sizes: the Mini version is no longer offered as part of the iPhone 14 range, and instead the standard 6.1-inch phone ($799 £849, AU$1,399) arrives alongside a Plus model with a 6.7-inch display, starting at $899. We've outlined in the chart the features of the iPhone 14 line against the iPhone 13 line, so you can compare the phones directly. The biggest deciding point could be the phone size: If you want a Mini phone then the iPhone 13 Mini is your only option. Similarly, if you want a larger phone and don't want to spend over $1,000 for the iPhone 14 Pro Max, then the iPho...

Apple iPhone 14 review: Everything you need to know

The iPhone 14 is a very good phone for the money, offering improved cameras, a faster A15 Bionic chip and fun Action mode for video capture. But at this price, we’d like to see a telephoto zoom and 120Hz display. Some may want to get the iPhone 14 Plus instead for its larger screen and bigger battery. It features an improved camera system that delivers better low-light performance and a faster and brighter TrueDepth camera with autofocus. On the video front, there’s a new Action mode for super steady footage. Add in some handy safety features like crash detection and Emergency SOS via satellite, and you have a strong contender. But should you buy the iPhone 14 or wait for the bigger iPhone 14 Plus? Or you should splurge for the more advanced The iPhone is certainly among the best iPhones and belongs on our best phone list.
