StationGrey said about 1 month ago I think it's a huge shame that they're planning to position the Max model as the premium one with better features other than size. I'd like the best camera available but have no interest in being upsold some gigantophone that I can't hold. Frankly, I'd still prefer a 'Mini' sized 15 Pro, but they hobbled that from the beginning with lower specs and, unsurprisingly, nobody bought them. I've had an 11 Pro for 4 years now and looks like I'll have to wait another year if I'm to be allowed to buy a flagship device in a vaguely reasonable size. Unless they do the same next year and stop me buying again. I think it's a huge shame that they're planning to position the Max model as the premium one with better features other than size. One year I decided to get the Max, but it was simply too large for my hands and pants pockets. I sincerely hope that Apple doesn’t begin to differentiate between Pro models. People who are wil...

Titanium frame The iPhone 15 Pro is widely rumored to be a significant upgrade, the biggest change being an all-new titanium casing with a rounder-edged design. But the hardware alone, from the rumors circulating so far, will be enough to turn heads. The iPhone 15 Pro looks set to be a remarkable device, with top notch specs and some potentially daring changes to elements of the phone that have been standard since the very first iPhone was revealed. That's not to say recent years haven't seen big additions, of course. 2022 was a huge year for the 'Pro' iPhone, as Apple looked to broaden the gap between its regular iPhone offerings and its more premium 'Pro' devices. The The latest rumors point to the addition of a new LiDAR sensor from Sony being used in the iPhone 15 Pro camera array, the possibility of a new wine-like red model being offered, and changes to how shortcuts work on the phone's buttons. Speaking of buttons, there appears to be conflict as to whether to continue using physical buttons in the iPhone 15 Pro design, or to move to a new capacitive touch design instead. So what can we expect from the iPhone 15 Pro? Could it actually be called the iPhone 15 Ultra? What new features will it bring, what will it share with its younger sibling the iPhone 15, and what will Apple decide to reserve for its most premium product, which is shaping up to be the iPhone 15 Pro: What's in a name? Essentially, you’ll have the phone with all the camera controls, connected to a monitor displaying live 4K camera footage without any controls; in 16:9. Whether the new features could include outputting a game or movie to a standard monitor or TV without Apple TV or AirPlay remains to be seen, but it opens the doorway for multi-display support similar to iPad Pros, which can connect to monitors to extend their workspace. Despite this, it is really the raw speed benefits of Thunderbolt 3 that excite most. iPhone 15 Pro / Pro Max owners will potentially be able to back up and restore their phones in minutes, and enthusiasts will be able to quickly transfer the gigantic files ProRAW photography and ProRES video create.
