No Way Home Actually Flipped The Sacrifice of Iron Man in Endgame

The MCU has given us some of the most exciting moments involving the variety of superheroes over the years. These moments actually led to some rather interesting narratives unfolding and they even had an impact on the franchise for a long time. The project that has the most number of such moments has to be Avengers: Endgame, which was a culmination of the Infinity Saga. There are quite a lot of interesting moments here but the most important one was Iron Man’s sacrifice in the end as he was wielding the Infinity stones. But it seems that MCU’s latest project might have actually flipped the script at this moment. Let’s take a look at how Spider-Man: No Way Homeactually draws a certain parallel on Iron Man’s sacrifice at the end of Avengers: Endgame. Iron Man Tony Stark from the very start of the MCU has played a massive role in the narrative of the franchise. Other than the shorter narrative in his solo ventures, the character also had a hand in being a major character for the larger narrative. The Infinity Saga actually explored him coming to terms with various aspects of his persona that influenced the way he was identified as the superhero we know. He died in the end with a sacrifice that saw him wielding the Infinity Stones embedded in his own version of Infinity Gauntlet. Fans would remember his very last words before he snaps his fingers – “I am Iron Man.” For a moment there it seemed to be the end of the giant narrative we had seen over the years. But that is not the...

Many questions about Smithsonian magazine in 2017. What scientists do know for certain are the precise contents of Tollund Man’s last meal: porridge and fish. As Elizabeth Djinis reports for National Geographic, a team led by Tollund Man’s well-preserved body was first dredged up from the Bjældskovdal peat bog, in north-central Denmark, in 1950. His remains were so intact that authorities initially suspected he was a recent murder victim, notes the Silkeborg on its A 30- to 40-year-old man at the time of his death, Tollund Man was hanged between 405 and 380 B.C.E., per Laura Geggel of Shortly after the body’s discovery, researchers studied the man’s intestinal track and concluded that he had eaten his last meal about 12 to 24 hours before he died. But science has come a long way in the last seven decades, so Nielsen and her team were eager to reexamine their subject’s stomach. Photomicrograph of Tollund Man's gut content Photo by P.S. Henriksen / The Danish National Museum “Back in 1950, they only looked at the well preserved grains and seeds, and not the very fine fraction of the material,” Nielsen tells Tom Metcalfe of To identify the contents of Tollund Man’s last meal, researchers scoured his large and small intestines for decomposed plant parts, or “macrofossils,” and analyzed pollen samples, proteins and other chemical traces, according to a As it turns out, Tollund Man’s final meal was “remarkable simply because it was, well, unremarkable,” Dijinis tells National Ge...

Avengers Writers Confirm Deeper Meaning Of Doctor Strange's Line To Tony Stark

By now, Avengers fans know that Avengers: Endgame back in Avengers: Infinity War. The writers confirmed that, in that moment, Strange knew Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) had to die. There was no other outcome. Interestingly enough, before Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) gave us the "Endgame" title, Avengers: Age of Ultron. Strange and Stark shared a loaded endgame moment in Infinity War when Doctor Strange revealed he went forward in time to view alternate futures, to see all the possible outcomes of the coming conflict. He told Star-Lord he saw 14,000,605 futures. The writers shot down that theory as not true. There was only one way end to this conflict, period, and it meant the endgame for Iron Man: The only way this works is if Tony dies. If you go back and watch Infinity War, when [Strange] says 'one,' Benedict … is just choked on emotion. Now that you know the end, go back and watch that moment. He means, 'You're going to have to die, Tony.' Watch that Infinity War scene again here Endgame: Doctor Strange could've spoiled the ending of Avengers: Endgame right then and there, and instead he only gave hints. We're in the endgame now. Tony Stark checked in with Doctor Strange during Endgame, asking if this was it, if they were in the reality where everyone survives. Doctor Strange's cryptic reply -- "If I tell you, it won’t happen" -- was a big hint to Tony's role. Tony would have to sacrifice his life, to miss out on And so Avengers: Endgame made Tony Stark Avenge...

Iron Man: Tony Stark's Most Heroic Moments In The MCU

When it comes to Marvel's greatest heroes of the MCU, it's hard not to list Iron Man Tony Stark as one of its best. Robert Downey Jr.'s character served as the backbone to the success of The Infinity Saga and had a plethora of memorable moments in his run, many of which serve as crowning moments to their respective films. Tony Stark has had plenty of memorable moments, but which among them are his most heroic? I've compiled a list in no particular order that, without a doubt, highlights the top moments the character had throughout his many MCU appearances. These moments not only show he's a hero but perhaps among the best in the MCU may ever see. Of course, Tony Stark didn't let that happen and used the power of the Iron Man suit to its absolute limit to intercept the missile. He then carried it to space through the portal used by the Chitauri, completely unsure of whether or not he'd be able to return to Earth. His effort destroyed the Chitauri mothership, which saved Earth. As a bonus, Tony survived to tell the tale, as his broken Iron Man suit fell through the collapsed portal just in time. Tony Saves The President And Others On Air Force One - Iron Man 3 Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man was off in a bad way in Iron Man 3, but his crisis of self-confidence and anxiety were in check when it really mattered. When Savin took Air Force One hostage with President Ellis and staff on board, the situation looked pretty grim. Tony Stark had to save 13 people all in free-fall, and de...
