New Delhi, Jan 30 (PTI) With an eye on the 2024 general elections and the Delhi assembly polls the following year, the city BJP unit will take out a ‘Janandolan Yatra’ across the national capital in March to reach out to voters. Jan Andolan – India Research Center

Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health- India Research Center proposes to develop SBCC strategies and toolkits informed by social and behavioral, communication and implementation sciences but also are designed for implementation at local levels, with the following objectives: • Delineate current social and behavioural change communication (SBCC) strategies, that are being used to promote nutrition seeking behaviours within the communities. • Identify ‘promising practices’ for Jan Andolan that are geographically and culturally proximal to people. • Disseminate the best strategies for context specific mass mobilization including effective media, channels and strategic messaging that can be used to scale and promote Jan Andolan. To capture as wide a gamut of SBCC practices at the regional and local levels as possible, we will adopt a mixed methods approach that includes systematic surveys of key stakeholders, in-person consultations that canvass and document local practices, expert panels, key informant interviews with key stakeholders and focus groups and experiments with the target audience for POSHAN Abhiyaan. The study will be conducted in three Phases (Figure 2). In Phase 1, we will conduct national consultations with key stakeholders including development partners, inter-ministerial groups for departments and Ministries at the national level. This phase will also include a review of studies and practices examining and reporting on SBCC efforts in maternal and childho...

Janandolan 2

Now before jumping on to the bandwagon I would like to let you know this thread has nothing to do with king. I am only sheding Janandolan 2 (J2) in Negative light . Often Janandolan II has been presented as a momentous episode of Nepal. Now it is increasingly becoming evident that janandolan 2 was not a glorious episode of Nepal rather a black episode which has put Nepal into long term chaos. Janandolan 2 started with a protest. Soon all of Kathmandu grip into a kind of frenzy. Myriad of people came to street protesting. What followed is history. But what Is supposed to be a momentous occasion of Nepal infact now is turning out to be a black spot in Nepalese history . It is now time to analyze whether Janandolan 2 was a success or a failure. Put your hand in your chest and ask yourself if it is a peaceful protest 1. Culture of Protest- For start Janandolan 2 was not peaceful protest as often has been portrayed. People are seen hurling stones, burning cars, vehicles, destroying public properties etc. But it started a very dangerous precedence. It also started culture of protest, culture of destroying public properties. Infact Nepal has never come out of this culture of protest after janandolan 2. Literally everybody was seen protesting. Doctors, Teachers, students, lawyers, you name it and they were in street. 2-3 years after Janandolan 2,these Doctors, Teachers, Students, Lawyers are still protesting all with a different agenda. Doctors, Lawyers, Engineers, students, teach...

The Congress leadership has welcomed the statements of support of all opposition leaders, he said, and asserted that “we should now take the issue of opposition unity forward in a systematic way”. “It was noted today that many opposition parties have condemned the action taken unilaterally with such lightning speed to disqualify Rahul Gandhi,” he said. “Yes, there was a consensus that we should now take the job of building opposition unity in a systematic way.
