The National Testing Agency (NTA) has revised the schedule for the Joint Entrance Examination-Main (JEE-Main 2023 Session 1). As per the changes, JEE Main entrance examination will now be conducted till February 01, 2023 whereas the old schedule mentioned the last date for exam as January 31, 2023. Eligibility Criteria

Age Criteria For appearing in the JEE (Main) – 2023, there is no age limit for the candidates. The candidates who have passed the class 12/equivalent examination in 2021, 2022, or appearing in 2023 irrespective of their age can appear in JEE (Main) – 2023 examination. However, the candidates may be required to fulfill the age criteria of the Institute(s) to which they are desirous of taking admission. List of Qualifying Examinations (QE) • The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized Central/ State Board, such as the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi; etc. • Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University. • Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy. • Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects. • Any Public School/ Board/ University examination in India or any foreign country is recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). • Higher Secondary Certificate Vocational Examination. • A Diploma recognized by AICTE or a State board of technical education of at least 3 years duration. • General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level. • High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge Univ...

From 2019 onwards, The Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India has endowed NTA (The National Testing Agency) with the responsibility of organising and conducting the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main). JEE Main consists of two papers. Paper 1 facilitates admissions of qualified candidates to engineering programs at the undergraduate level, which are B.E and B.Tech, at IIITs, NIts, Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs). It also includes universities or institutions that are funded or recognised by State Governments that are part of the JEE Main exam. JEE Main also opens the door for JEE Advanced. JEE Advanced is conducted for admission to IITs. Paper 2 of the JEE Main exam is conducted for admissions to B. Arch and B. Planning courses in India. The Joint Entrance Examination 2022 (JEE Main) will be conducted in two sessions for the year 2022. The first session will take place in April 2022 and the second in May 2022.
