JH Rehabilitation

Injuries and surgeries have become very common in the recent years. The recovery from injuries take different treatments and methods for complete cure. Part of the recovery process is rehabilitation. Rehabilitation helps restore the lost functional ability back to the individual. This requires consistent and persistent efforts with the guidance of experienced therapists such as Physiotherapists, Occupational therapists, Speech-Language pathologists and Neuropsychologists. Rehabilitation is not limited to recovering from certain habits or illnesses. It also includes recuperation from prolonged acute or chronic diseases. “Rehab” should not be a stigma on the road to good health and recovery. There are very few rehabilitation centres in Chennai that provides a wide range of post treatment care. Among those that do, daily supervision of a patient by a Physician who specializes in Rehabilitation is lacking. We are a physician-led centre, that provides a comprehensive care involving various therapies and takes an interdisciplinary approach (i.e. care being provided by various therapies in a coordinated fashion). We are the first in the nation to introduce a community reintegration program called “EMPOWER”.Community reintegration can be defined as “the state where the individual controls and directs his own life by independently participating in activities including education and meaningful employment".The goal is to integrate every member that is part of the program back into th...

JH Rehabilitation is a comprehensive therapy center led by physicians. They have a wide range of services such as Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy, Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology, Neuropsychology, Dietitian, and Social Work and they treat a wide range of neurological, orthopedic, cardiac, pulmonary, amputations, cancer related conditions, rheumatological, geriatrics, burns, and pediatric conditions. They understand that each patient's condition is different hence they create an individualized treatment plan using a various combination of therapy services. They use injections and medications when necessary to assist with the recovery process. Their ultimate goal is to empower patients with the ability to live their life independently and to the fullest. Working with Shreya has been an absolutely fantastic experience. Dr. Haresh Sampathkumar

Dr. Haresh Sampathkumar is the co-founder of JH Rehabilitation. He completed his medical training at Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute, Chennai in 2011. He completed a one-year Internal Medicine Internship in 2014 at Unity Health System, Rochester, NY and three years of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation training in 2017 at New York Medical College/Metropolitan Hospital Center, New York. He then completed a one-year fellowship in Brain Injury Medicine in 2018 at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston/TIRR Memorial Hermann, Houston, Texas (ranked #2 best rehabilitation hospital in the U.S.). Although his primary interest is in treating Brain Injury patients (stroke, traumatic brain injury, brain tumor, anoxic brain injury etc), as a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation specialist (also known as a Physiatrist), he can treat a wide range of orthopedic, neurological, cancer, amputation, burns, cardiac, pulmonary, geriatric, and pediatric conditions and reduce pain and disability to help them lead an independent life. Depending on the condition, treatment can be through various combinations of medications, injections, assistive devices, physical modalities, physical and cognitive exercises.
