It seems that now Reliance Jio users will have to shell out more money for taking up the base recharge plan. The Mukesh Ambani-owned telecom operator has discontinued the prepaid plan of Rs 98. Both the Jio website and the MyJio app have removed the plan. Under Rs 98 plan, Reliance Jio users used to get 300 SMS, 2GB data, and free Jio-to-Jio calls. The plan was valid for a period of 28 days. After the removal of the Rs 98 plan, the lowest plan offered by the telecom operator is Rs 129. This means now Reliance Jio subscribers will have to do a minimum recharge of Rs 129 to avail Jio services. Under Rs 129 plan, Reliance Jio subscribers will get 2GB of high-speed data and 300 SMS. The plan also allows users to make unlimited calls to Jio subscribers and 1,000 minutes to make calls to other networks. Along with this, Jio users will also get complimentary access to the MyJio apps which include JioCinema, JioTV, and others. Recently, Reliance Jio rolled out a new prepaid plan under its Work From Home category. The telco has introduced a plan of Rs 999. The new plan offers range of benefits to users including unlimited 5G data, premium content apps, international roaming, and more. Starting at Rs 399 per month, Jio Plus offers additional three add-on connections priced at Rs 99 per SIM, providing a total monthly charge of only Rs 696 for a family of four.
